CSL and Mirrorchid, you guys did a good job presenting the pod cast. According to Sonpes Stalin did not pluck a chicken. One of his critics wrote (late 1980's early 1990's) the story maybe to reinforce a point to emphasize how mean and ruthless Stalin could be.

In my defense, on my blog and in the podcast, I did precede the story saying that it was apocryphal. And I used it for exactly that point, the cruelty and the clinging to the cruelty. And thanks for the kind comment. I know that I am glad that you like what we are doing.

Even though this an allegory 30 years after his death. Is this Trump? Will his followers cling to his every word(boots)? as an animal lover, the plucking of the chicken really grossed me out

Even though this an allegory 30 years after his death. Is this Trump? Will his followers cling to his every word(boots)? as an animal lover, the plucking of the chicken really grossed me out First quote box: What percentage of the population clings to their abuse? As stated in mirrororchid's intro, my blog is written from, and primarily for, a Christian audience. And since in that subculture (counter-culture?), there is a strongly-held teaching that divorce is for one reason only: adultery. Anything else puts you in immortal danger. I am an odd duck (fortunately, apparently part of a growing flock of odd ducks) who thinks that that is a crock. But the answer to your question would be, in my circles, a large percentage in comparison to non-christians willing to chuck it all over. And the thing about Trump? Again, I am an odd duck in my chosen group, as I despise the man. Didn't vote for him in '16, and vociferously won't vote for him this year. But I can address the why of his followers. They see that the media (news and otherwise) despise them and see them as the enemy. They see and hear politicians talking of taking punitive measures against them for their politics. They see themselves called un-American because they believe differently, and Trump is the one who speaks to their fears, offering them support. In 1980, Reagan famously told a religious meeting, "I know that you cannot endorse me, but I want you to know that I endorse you." Forty years later, Trump's followers see themselves besieged by media, lawmakers and rioters, and only Trump is addressing their fears. I don't endorse it, but I understand it.

Will his followers cling to his every word(boots)? as an animal lover, the plucking of the chicken really grossed me out Please don't bring politics here. Sometimes psychology within historical perspectives can give us some insight as to what we are going through. Heck, how often do we find out of some domestic abuse victim that has shielded her or his abuser from the scorn of public criticism? Psychological abuse such as the denial of intimacy sadly yields similar responses from the refused. The Stalin story had some merit, showing the lack of concern our abusers have, and how easily we can fall prey hoping things will change. If anyone cares to discuss politics, it is something I enjoy, but I do not want to pollute the discussion. Your political beliefs don't matter to me here. Left, right, top, bottom, or center, we victims of sexual denial come here looking for help with our common predicament.

Clearly both liberals and conservatives seem to have a low opinion of each other. I personally, as a conservative, and as an American am disheartened and sickened by the words and actions of those professing a liberal/progressive view, toward others who don't share their views. It's highly unlikely anyone here will change the political views of any other member of the forum. And postings which denigrate and belittle really have no place here.

Can just say I think we're a bit hypersensitive about politics here?
I get it that people have strong opinions about politics. However, there's a warning on the front page of the forum or somewhere warning us not to discuss politics. For me, that's enough.
I don't get triggered if somebody says they love Donald Trump or Joe Biden. I can deal with it. I have a pretty good idea how most people on this site feel from reading between the lines. I love y'all regardless. We're partners in suffering.

Some dogs attacked a feral mommy and killed her, sorry if I offeneded you... They were not eating and were brought to me. I need to feed the kittens every two hours -so I should focus on work and their lives.

Can smart speakers find your SM podcasts? Wouldn’t smart speakers be looking for devices and not files? My Bluetooth speaker links to my iPad, and whatever I am playing, whether it be a Facebook or YouTube video, or a Zoom meeting, the speaker plays the audio track while I watch the video on my iPad. Are there speakers that operate differently?

My Bluetooth speaker links to my iPad, and whatever I am playing, whether it be a Facebook or YouTube video, or a Zoom meeting, the speaker plays the audio track while I watch the video on my iPad. Are there speakers that operate differently? No, Lovey. I have Google Home System and it scans the internet for podcasts. I am guessing you would need tags? I asked my bedroom speaker for "sexless marriage podcasts" He came up with "Back at it again Sexless Marriage Podcast" that is what they will play first and then I don't know what they will be playing next. I listen to all kinds of podcasts at night or books and even Pandora meditation music. I love it. I will ask Mirror orchid. The back at it again sexless marriage podcast is really not that great so far, they are just talking back and forth about Covid-19. You guys are much more polished! Good night and sweet dreams💙
