So, am I the only one eating my feelings here?
I have toned up supremely for this man of mine three times in this marriage...like killed myself to be perfect so maybe he would want me. It didn't matter.
Now I am tired of eating my feelings and need to get the frick up and do fitness for me.
But being really fit increases my sexual needs, health does that. LOL That also makes life harder.
It can make you insane, this sexless life.

I myself use the gym as a distraction to make me feel better and also tire me out. Sorry you are in your situation. I hope you find reading some of the other posts supportive.

I need to do it for me. I do. Yes. I do as well. I have been slacking on exercise the past few weeks. I was doing really well too! Now I am back to munching and not exercising and it makes me feel crappy. Join me cc and let's get back to it!!

I would love an accountability partner! Yes! That works. Ideally you want that to be a friend who goes to the gym with you or someone in the family.

You tend to find that changing your weight - or appearance - has very little - if any - effect on an avoidant spouse.
Achieving / maintaining a sensible weight etc is a worthwhile thing to do irrespective, for you. But don't expect it to have any pay off as far as altering your avoidant spouses desire level for you.

I've learned it does not matter if I am fit or fat. It does not matter. I guess the first time I thought this would excite him because I'll look like I did. Nope. The second and third I tried training him in an effort to do something together. If I wasn't pushing him to do it, he didn't. Funny how that's exactly how sex is in our marriage. Sigh
