I use my phone to access the site at work. Like obobfla I am reluctant to have my IT department know my business.

I got to the point that sexual banter just wasn't worth it. Things never turned out the way I wanted, to make passionate love. All I ever got was the goofy look, followed by the awkward silences, and eventually just the cold shoulder...truly he would physically turn away from me. He hated to be reminded of anything sexual.
I found nothing about this behaviour in any way amusing or funny. Years of it have slowly eroded my self confidence and all feelings of tenderness and love towards him have vanished.
Its not a mistake to reach out to your spouse for some intimacy. The mistake is staying in a marriage where there is none.

'If you're going through hell, keep going.' (Winston Churchill) Tamara, I think you are such a badass. Your situation is extremely difficult, but you're GETTING IT DONE, and I admire you so much for that. KEEP GOING!!! thank you! That is what I am trying to do. I try to take one step at the time. Nothing can be worse that what lies behind me. (I hope.) Truer words have ever been spoke. Keep your eyes looking forward. You have been through the ringer and will come out of this stronger and even more amazing.

Grits, sweet tea, moon pies, RC Cola, peanuts in a Coke, country music, and barbecue! Yes, we have some ignorant people down here, but we know how to live. There are ignorant people everywhere obobfla. We even have a few up here. LOL

Children, whatever their age are perceptive. They are well aware of the dynamics of your marriage. If you take the high road and don't speak despairingly about your STBX (to them) they will come to you in time and ask you what took you so long.

petrushka: I has my eyes opened to the realities of the 'festive season' when I worked in the ER. Lots of victims of domestic violence over the holidays. Even in happy homes it is not all candy canes and eggnog. The expectations are just too high sometimes. Like me waiting in vain for my christmas sex to materialize. Still waiting...

baza: I take it to mean the circle of life. What is born will die and the sooner you recognize your own mortality the more you can live life fully... I don't see inertia there at all.

People change ? Sure they do. Without taxing the memory too much, The names of NYArtGal, GeekGoddess, SleeplessKnight come to mind. If you read their original stories, then their most recent ones, you would not recognize them as the same people. Indeed, if you look at any current members original postings, and compare with their most recent, there are many people who are in the process of changing. It's a metamorphosis...
