I actually had this conversation with a friend a couple of weeks ago. Pros and cons to both but I'm so glad I'm a woman. I work part time and have a couple of hours to myself each day before the kids get home from school. When he works from home or takes the day off, I procrastinate going home. Like today, he's there. It's not that it's horrible when we are alone together, but it's just so uncomfortable. We engage in small talk when it is the perfect opportunity to bring up our issues and get into a discussion about our marriage. I am always the one initiating the discussion and it's so stressful. I am just sitting here at work contemplating what I will do today. Small talk, marriage discussion, or shop for clothes? Guess which one I will probably choose. Sigh. I missed the party! But it was because my wife stayed home today, so I kept busy elsewhere most of the day. So I get it. And I am glad I won't ever have to pay pussy restitution! It sounds expensive! |
