Hmm... Yes, the resulting ear vibrations could be a turn-on. π Sort of like a nibbling substitute? I just bought two cans of pineapple last night. Perhaps I'll empty the contents in a storage container and whip up a phone like the one pictured. We'll see if I can entice my H to try that out. π Upside down cake is on the menu? Nice. The good thing about strings and cans in a SM: You can keep a safe distance from one another. π€

No upside down cake. It's for cottage cheese and pineapple, which I like for lunch.

I will not be steered from an occasional beefy burger for lunch...

I never said I ONLY are cottage cheese and pineapple for lunch. I merely noted that ate it, AND that I did not intend to use that particular pineapple to make an upside down cake, which is yummy but caloric.
I'm short, and short people are always trying to eat less because we don't burn as many calories just existing as do taller people, alas.
That said, I love pineapple upside down cake. And burgers. Basically, I love MOST foods that are bad for me, plus Brussels Sprouts, which naturally taste better with butter. π’π I try to resist but often fail.

Welllllll,
Thank you for the dietary clarification.
I humbly stand corrected.
So....
Are you going to make the can walk-Talkie?

When I was a kid I made the can and string communicator. It really didn't work. When I got older, I bought a Radio Shack intercom. That worked well.
The Radio shack crystal radio wasn't bad but not nearly as good as the transistor radio.
The boy next door is 6 or 7. I bought him a crystal radio kit. I told his dad it would be a good father-son project and it goes along with their home-schooling science course. The boy might be a bit young but he plays with batteries and some of the radio signal science fit right in with batteries and magnetism.

When I was a kid, my father built me a Heath kit crystal radio. It was awesome. It had a headset and I used to get AM stations on it.

Well, hey! π Someone should test out that theory and report back to the community at large. π€ππ I volunteer as tribute!! Tribute? Can you explain the thought being that word? ππ€ Is that like an honor gift to whomever reports back on their research? Are you funding a study? Will it be sanctioned by the NIH? Will it be peer reviewed? ππ
