I didn't want to hijack JMX's thread. ggold, sweetplumeriaI had infertility issues and joined an online community. There were several of us who lived only a few hours from one another. We were able to meet with our, finally!, pregnant bellies and it was so natural. Who they were online, were who I met in person. It would be good and therapeutic if we could all have a standing coffee date. For now, I'll just lean in here. And express my gratitude for the years of support that I have come to rely on, albeit sporadically. Thanks ILIASMers! |

The group here is pretty dispersed. For those of us still in our SM, the monthly Skype sessions might be easier it would to find an 1hr excuse.

I feel the same way. I go through periods of time doing well and then something pushes the scales and I find myself back here for comfort. To know I am not alone, not crazy, not unreasonable.
I have tried to speak to local friends. No one can relate or is willing to relate. This place continues to be my safe place.

Absolutely - I am mostly in Europe and sometimes in USA - It would be great to have an ILIASM Meet-up somewhere somehow.
After decades of Internet surfing etc. - I would say ILIASM is the real deal.

I'd agree with McRoomMate , I've surfed too, and this place is great, full of truth and genuine people rather than bs. In fact I was thinking we should all wear shirts or badges wherever we go with 'ILIASM' on. Maybe people who knew what it meant would come and chat. Must of the 'Normal' souls just dont understand. Possibly a bit of a radical idea though, so in absence of the badge idea, I'd welcome a cream cake and a coffee once a month too

I would like coffee time to with other iliasm. But I know my limits. I couldn't figure out an excuse for the chat session last time. So I just joined while in the outdoor furniture section of Sam's club while the wife was using the bathroom.
But seeing and hearing the other faces and knowing they are real people is comforting.
