I asked husband tonight - who do YOU think Darth Vader's father is?
H: Well, Shmi said he didn't really have a father.
Me: Well, yes, but that's so Virgin Mary of her or any knocked-up teenager. Do you ever THINK about it?
H: No. Fan theory seems to suggest Darth Plageus - when he overcame death - his medichlorians transferred. (Shrug)
Me: But!!! There's an entire host of options and theories and sub-text about society in ALL of that.
H: (sigh) I just never think about it... it's entertainment.

This topic is constantly argued around our house! Along with 100 other questions related to Star Wars. I don't want to be a spoiler, but my 12 year old genius daughter and huge Star Wars fan informed me Snoke will definitely be revealed as Vader's father and Palpatine will be Rey's dad. She is guessing but makes a good argument. Who am I to argue? She has seen every movie and read every book multiple times! Last week we stood in line for 2 hours(and got their 2 hours early, for a total of 4 hours) for a book-signing to meet the voice of Ashoka Tano and the author of this new book.  |
