I asked husband tonight - who do YOU think Darth Vader's father is? H: Well, Shmi said he didn't really have a father. Me: Well, yes, but that's so Virgin Mary of her or any knocked-up teenager. Do you ever THINK about it? H: No. Fan theory seems to suggest Darth Plageus - when he overcame death - his medichlorians transferred. (Shrug) Me: But!!! There's an entire host of options and theories and sub-text about society in ALL of that. H: (sigh) I just never think about it... it's entertainment. Me: 😢 Damn. Hot undersexed chick with a command of Star Wars lore. Now if I hear that you wear SEXY STUFF to bed every night, it will be too much to bear. For example, something like this: or this:

@boulderbob - all great questions!
He is engaging and talking with me about it tonight. Dare I say... sexy time?
1.) I can say, I have never thought about that - hmm... 2.) agreed. 3.) that could be a twist? 4.) I postulate Finn is Lando's son, but H and I laughed because that's too easy and extremely "white" of me.
I read somewhere that you can hint their origins based on the accents they use on film. For example - Finn has a British accent in real life but an American accent in the movie? This theory holds true for anyone after The Clone Wars. If they have or were raised by imperial types, they have British accents, if they are part of the rebellion, they have American accents. Curious your thoughts? It does make you wonder about Rey's parentage. I think they go a different direction in the movies. I think she is Luke's daughter with Jyn Erso? Jyn is Imperial? Caveat - I have not read the books or comics, so my theories are definitely more simplistic.

Dan - I have something similar to #2 - top shirt sleeve with Darth Vader on it and shorts are dark gray.

But I do love R2D2 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Good answer, now the questions? Why did R2D2 have part of the map to find Luke Skywalker? Where is C3PO? Perhaps already hanging out with Luke? Will Kylo Ren be swayed back from the dark side? What is up with Finn, what role will he play in the future? Your thoughts, @boulderbob - all great questions! He is engaging and talking with me about it tonight. Dare I say... sexy time? 1.) I can say, I have never thought about that - hmm... 2.) agreed. 3.) that could be a twist? 4.) JMX I will admit I have watched all the cartoons and have read all the books that explain the periods between the various movie episodes. Not because I am a nerd, but because my 3 daughters are big science fiction fans and I got everything for them!! Okay, about question # 1) It is interesting that BB-8 had most of the map and R2D2 had the missing piece. In one of the books they explain that Luke never wiped any of his R2's memory clean, even the memories of when he was owned by Annikin. My guess is R2 may have more data stored that will come out and be important to the stories. #2 Since both droids are important to all 9 episodes, C3PO must be with someone important. I don't have a feel where except with Luke. #3 Kylo seemed so conflicted about his feelings up until the moment he killed his father. I am guessing(hoping) he will turn back to the good side of the force. #4 Finn was conscripted into the First Order and there is no mention of him in the books, but do you remember in the movie when Maz Katana (the old lady that owned the bar/cantina where Luke's lightsaber was) when she looked at Finn through the magnifying glass and said "I have seen your eyes before", I believe she was comparing him to Hans Solo. Because they both always ran away from their troubles, at least initially, but did the right thing in the end. JMO Sorry we are picking future ideas that are guesses, but it is still fun to talk about.

Yes! Loads of fun.
Didn't BB-8 have the missing piece when R2D2 had only the missing piece? I am currently watching it and will find out soon enough.
Hmm... I still think Lando. He also did what was in his own best interest... Max Katana could have also known him! Still, I know - very "white" of me. However, I choose to believe Leia and Han were made for each other and never had relations with anyone else. Kylo Ren's connection to Rey (to me) is beyond the force and feels familial.

If that question had been put to me Sister JMX, I rather think my witty riposte would have been - "Fucked if I know, or care". - Thank God for google - and I quote - "The father of Anakin Skywalker has long been debated among Star Wars fans. According to Anakin's mother Shmi, there was no father- she simply woke up pregnant one day. According to Sheev Palpatine, his Sith master Darth Plagueis had figured out how to manipulate the Force into creating life" - I think this quote (above) was from Abraham Lincoln's blog. - But clearly, the christian religions don't have a mortgage on the matter of 'immaculate conception'.

Ummm.. @boulderbob - C3PO is with Leia @ rebel base. R2 did have the biggest chunk of the map. BB-8 had the missing piece. No idea why though.

Your thoughts, Also: With all those years to think about a new storyline, why did The Force Awakens have to be so unoriginal? And why does the Empire always have to leave a small hole in their defences where their huge weapon can be destroyed by a single person. Surely they would have learned from their mistakes by now. (For the record, both of those were my son's comments at the end of the movie. And he was 9.)

Me: 😢 JMX I agree there will be a relationship between Rey and someone, but the question is who? My daughters idea(amazingly smart for a 12 year old), and which I cannot take credit for, is that just as Annikin was the 'chosen one', the one who will unite both sides of the force, a power he forfeited when he chose the dark side. Rey will be the new 'chosen one'! My daughter contends there is a new chosen one born but some never learn to use their powers(sort of like choosing one Dalai Lama when one passes away). How this works will be explained later but your husbands theory about the Medichlorians is pretty popular! God, I hope he's not right he will probably never let you forget it!

Sorry about the map size, but you needed both droids to get the complete map. I only watched the Force Awakens once, so my memory might not be as good as it should. There is some mention in a book that Luke went to a world on the outer rim that is supposed to be the home of the first Jedi temple, which hopefully will be revealed in episode 8.

Spoilers: the map led Luke to Weyland, and he's been in hiding for so long because he's traumatized from fighting his own clone made from the hand he lost at Cloud City, and which was created by a mad clone of a long-dead Jedi Master who was actually killed by Thrawn originally. Oh wait, wrong sequels. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

unmatched - very astute that one. I have to say *I Loved* all of the throw backs to the old though. The newest movie felt like home. @boulderbob - I think there's something "extra" special about Rey. I believe she is the chosen one, but she's so much more natural than Luke was (and note, far LESS whiney than Anakin or Luke).
