You can only post one song. Choose it wisely. THE song that makes you drive faster....

You can only post one song. Choose it wisely. THE song that makes you drive faster.... Can't do it. That's like asking a chef to choose their one favorite bite of any food they've ever had. Or a dancer to choose the one best step they've ever taken.

I'm such a rebel....38 in a 30mph that should totally have been a 50 is my only ticket... and that was only because I was excited to get back to my root canal course after a demo ha ha. Cost me my last NYE morning on a speed awareness course. Grrr.

Ok fine. Here's the one I was driving to the last time *I got caught* - 86 in a 70, in Orange County, California in my very carefully tuned and tweaked bright red Honda Prelude. Thankfully i was slowing down, and the cop was nice enough to only cite me for 75. Thank God for being in uniform and getting pulled by a cop who was a punk rock fan:

I'm pretty sure you do not have 100mph speed limit roads over there? I am so .... tame. I used to speed when you could see the cop car with the microwave gun hanging out the side window from a km away. These days, they have something like a dash-cam that gives your speed and you never know what's coming over the next hill or around the next corner. Lots of hills, lots of blind corners. I just don't want to give those pricks all my money. Someone breaks in and cleans out your house? They can't come, no time. Some drunk driver t-bones you 200m from the cop shop? They're too busy to attend. (that made the paper even, because the boned was the wife of the local member of parliament) But they just love hanging out where there's a straight bit of road where you have the chance of overtaking the slowpokes. That they have time for. Oh and shooting people. There's been a spate of that over here lately, too. And they want more guns, to go shooting people with. So I set the cruise control to the speed limit and just steer the coach around the corners. Doesn't matter what's playing on the radio. I get to hang on to my cash. Sorry, Boys in Blue.

I'm pretty sure you do not have 100mph speed limit roads over there? Haha...I suppose I should have clarified that. I can probably count on one hand the times I have driven 100mph and with one exception, they were all when I was incredibly young and stupid with no sense of the value of life. My first car was a '65 Mustang and it just begged for straight, open road. My speeding adventures were almost all out in the country where the biggest risk wasn't the boys in blue but the random deer that decided to cross the road at the wrong time. I have a good friend who has always said, "don't drive faster than you can afford" so these days I keep it with in 10mph of the limit, but speeding down the road with an awesome song blaring is definitely a rush.

Hooray for cruise control! I love it. I do have a tendency to creep up and over the limit on the motorways on the rare occasions they are not doing their impressions of car parks! adaptive cruise control is my favourite......now where's my pipe and slippers

I only get up to visit my dad about once every 18 months , it a 12 hr drive through a lot of flat open country where you can see for miles this song and 140+ km/hr makes my trip. If they ever clock me I'll probably never drive again. "Any of you girls out there have a didgeridoo?" I had to look that up! Great song and new for me so that is always fun. I don't know that I would speed down the road to it but definitely dance in a smoky bar with my girlfriends to it.

I've only been 100mph once, and it was in a compact Prius! The speedometer was still climbing, it hit about 102 before I backed off and it was hardly gnarly. The aero keeps it solid (although a cross wind might have meant a white knuckle moment) It could easily hit 110.

Vitruvius he reminds me of the beautiful and very much missed Mr Michael Hutchence. He's like totally in the zone man. Love performers like that.
