I feel that you and I offered our spouses a wonderful gift, to accept them as they are. The rejection in return has me feeling incompatible, and noticing incomparable couples too. It's going to take interaction with others to fix that. We tried couples training, actually at her suggestion. That went... Disastrously. Apparently I was pushing myself too hard, and making a scene, and showing off during our training sessions. There will always be an excuse aka bullshit

Height-wise, H and I are a perfect fit. He's 6'3" and I'm 5'8". My head fits perfectly against his shoulder when we're standing, and he is the perfect big spoon when we're in bed. We've had to be inventive with sexual positions in the past because we're both large people. He usually hovers between 280-330 (usually gaining more whenever I'm pregnant...during my first pregnancy, he gained more than double what I did). When we first got together, I was over 300 lbs. I had lap band surgery less than a year into our relationship, and lost 80 lbs before I got pregnant. Now, on pregnancy #4 and after a couple birth control tries that made me gain weight uncontrollably, I'm probably close to where I was pre-surgery, I just refuse to know because it's mentally unhealthy for me right now since I can't do anything about it while I'm pregnant. I think size differences are moot points in a relationship where two people actively want to be together. I've been with a fairly wide range of heights (I've always liked big guys, so I've never actually been with a thin guy), and there's always a way to make it work. Interestingly enough, H always dated short girls before me. I don't think he ever dated anyone taller than 5'5" until me. Of course, he still considers me "short."

This thread gives me heart! I have dieted down to a size 10 now and aiming for a 4. Maybe I will stop at 6. Stop at 10 (or 8 if you must) 6 or 4 is wrong - just wrong. Have a milkshake or something. Ok, I'll split that milkshake with you. I hope you like chocolate.
