This is the cover. In my situation, tech has HELPED my love life!! (Not with my husband, but in exploring my sexuality and exploring with others!!) This is, however, a huge issue for others. Anyone here feel this contributed to SM?  |

Tech didn't sabotage anything in my marriage. It helped me because I found support online. It kept both of us busy, so less need to actually have to talk to each other.

It makes it so much harder to connect, I rollover to go to sleep, she stays up with at thing.... never reaches for me.... plus.... she can SHOP with it...

Yes. Tech goes way back to our first year or two of being married.
The budget went from paper to computer.
I was left out of the budget when it was " easier " for her to just do it.
Her work got brought home on the computer.
Homeschooling started with a computer sent to us from the public school system. What a nightmare! Constantly having to call my wife at work to get help. Only to have her spend hours on it at home, and me feeling like an idiot.
Next came six computers in the school room and my kids playing video games day and night. With the wife saying, " I have no problem with it"
Then came the iPads, and the laptop carried into the bedroom every night, every morning. Having trouble sleeping? Hours on the computer.
Next was the recliner chair being brought into the bedroom. Hours on the Ipad.
Next came carrying the Ipad to the breakfast table.
Now the kids Cary there phones in the car every time I take them some where.
Lucky for me the dog can't use one( yet!).

Why do you think I am So available on here every day? Do you know where the rest of my family is while I am out mowing grass, trimming trees, painting houses, buying groceries, running kids to practices,and classes? There glued to a screen!

Yes. Most definitely. I banned the television from the bedroom so he started watching shows on his computer or phone with headphones on. I asked him to not do that because the flashing of the screen was keeping me awake. Actually I wanted him to pay attention to me. Instead, he kisses me good night and goes out on the couch to watch shows. He comes to bed after I'm asleep. He complains that it is my fault he doesn't get much sleep. Huh?

My W put the iPad propped on pillows between us. I have just started this week sleep in the other bedroom. Funny thing is she hasn't asked why.

Tech was actually my key to unlock the chains that bound me. Without tech I would not have found EP and ILIASM and it's very possible I would still be in my S/M. So 3 cheers for tech.

I am with you. Tech is doing a great job of waking me up and reminding me who I am and what I want. But it hasn't done a lot for my marriage.

I also just spent 2 minutes looking at that photo trying to figure out which one is supposed to be the tech obsessed refuser. But I really can't tell.
