@helentishappy, I re-read your dating site profile. Is there a reason you refer to yourself in the third person? Maybe when you're more comfortable, you can use "I"? It seems more personal.

For a serious stab at getting a date I would use first person for sure. Third person seemed to me to emphasize the unserious sillyness of what I wrote here, of course that will never see the light of day as-is. |

In that case, you don't have to mention anything about being a Stone Fox. And because you will have a picture, I'm not sure why you need to mention being over weight. Your picture will contradict that and just make you seem self-conscious. When you're ready to date, that'll be gone. |
