Man comes in to see the doctor and says, "Doc, my friend has a problem." The doctor replies, "Well, drop your pants and let's take a look at your friend." www.wbur.org/commonhealth/2017/09/08/patient-doctor-female-male-bailI haven't gone for an annual in years. Perhaps because I don't like being naked and having a guy's finger up my rear. Or getting vials of blood drawn. But I'm curious what if it was a female doctor? And she brings in a cute nurse to observe. Not sure if they allow female doc to do an intimate exam on a male in the Bible Belt though. Anyway it seems more appealing than going to Dr. Michael or Dr. Brian. Is there a problem here? Do guys leave a mess on the sheet?

I took a sexual harassment class for work and one scenario they shot was of a nurse needing to navigate a male patient who was enjoyiong her medical care inappropriately. I don't give HR firms enough credit to think they dreamed that scenario up without a real life example to work from. Yeah. Some guys do get intimate exams and don't handle it well. Some of those guys that don't see the same female doctor? Maybe it may not always have been the patient's decision.

Doesn't worry me in the slightest if the nurse or doctor is female, or if there is more than one (maybe I'm a closet exhibitionist :-) )

When I am in for a medical exam or a diagnosis/treatment then it is just a body part no matter which part. As for that magic finger exam I can think about something else, the poor doctor has to be focused on where his finger is.
I have had women doctors, never a problem.

In high school my daughter had 2 friends that became doctors. One was female and the other male. Lo-and behold the female came back to work in town. I see her once a year.
The first prostate exam by a female was strange to me but I got over it. (different doctor)
Another local doctor did some back surgery on me. He was a customer at shop where I worked. He did a laminectomy on me and I replaced the brake shoes/pads on his car. Not an even exchange $ wise but we both benefited. He fixed my parts and I fixed his parts.
My attitude when it comes to doctors is less about male-female but do they know their stuff.

At my local clinic I take 'pot luck' as to who I see for mundane issues, apart from a bloke (helps me manage enlarged prostate) and a dermatologist (she monitors my skin cancers)
At the get go for my skin I had it mapped and about 20 images were taken of - all - my skin, even down to the soles of my feet, to identify existing lesions and to produce a base line of where the lesions were so any new ones can be identified. The photographic record is on the Doctors record (I've got a copy on a USB stick as well). This took about 15 minutes (including some close ups of about 8 "suspicious" lesions). The pix were taken by a trained bloke operator, who was in turn training a nurse in the process. The dermatologist came in to review the photos and then took extreme close ups of the suspicious ones.
As far as the prostate gut goes, about every 12 months he takes an ultrasound of my bladder / prostate (which specifically measures its' volume) and rarely has a digital feel these days.

Reading comments, it seems like selecting a female doctor won't make them think that I am a perv for letting them do the annual.

I have made known here on several occasions that I had a digital prostate exam by a female Doctor. It was the worst exam of that nature I have ever experienced. In addition to her mustache she had very large hands . She honestly lifted me off the floor and I was pulling myself up onto the exam table to get away from her. And the young, petite nurse was no help at all as she turned her back to face away from me during the exam.

So the ultrasonic probe is inserted instead of a finger?

I missed your posts. maybe good to have an initial clothed visit to meet the female doctor first then.

The company picked the medical service so she wasn't my choice.
