Can I ask what test you're taking? I'm not sure I ever took one of these.

Back to bballgirl 's original point, I am amazed how many of you are "F"'s. And the "T"'s who have spoken up seem to be all "I"'s as well. Anyone know a psychology grad student looking for a top is to study. There definitely a pattern here.

wewbwb if you google myers-briggs you will find all sorts of info on it. You have to pay money to be evaluated by the original, but there are several other online tests that are very similar that have similar results. The Kiersey temperament sorter www.keirsey.com/sorter/register.aspx is the original copy (by making the test shorter). Its free, but you have to register. This is a free one you don't have to register for: www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test

I got ISFJ-T, and reading the description sounds much like me. =)

I am an "F" also. I have taken the test four times in four different years, and came out as an INFP each time. My wife thinks I am an ISFP but I think the test puts me in the N category because I spend way too much time worrying what other people might be thinking. I am also a conflict avoider, and will do nearly anything to avoid a confrontation. That makes sense, I'm an "S" and I don't give a shit what people think about me. So that's what that means! I took the 16 Personalities and came out a fairly strong ISTP. The first time I did M-B was college with a group of student leaders. They had everyone move into a group with like personalities. Out of 50 or so, there were 3 of us in my group. Knowing the others, we looked at each other and knew that this was the asshole group!

We were the let's get things done and cry on your own time group. I've mellowed a bit since then, but the basic premise holds true.

Yeah I've always tested ESFJ, which like I said is Mary Poppins and to some degree I can see that but I'd say it would have to be Mary Poppins with an edge. I definitely use humor and sarcasm as tools on a daily basis. Very necessary when dealing with high schoolers that think they are all that. I make it perfectly clear to them that when they enter my classroom it's an interactive show that is really all about ME! Lol. I should probably redo the test but when I read the description it made sense. Yeah I don't have time for the warm and fuzzy stuff either at workshops or in the classroom. I just want fun and excitement if possible! Nobody teaches a direct object pronoun like me! Lol

I am INFJ, also conflict avoident. And in the personality description it says 'finding it difficult to leave an abusive relationship'. I can totally recognize that. First time I did the MBTI test, I came out as INFJ. The second time it was done "professionally" and I was more inclined to answer the questions based on my behaviour and attitudes that I demonstrate from a professional setting point of view. I am definitely an INTJ by definition... Most probably the job I do has influenced somewhat my personality, was I to be a teacher (the second most preferred profession) I would have Feelings dominate over Thinking. Being in a leading position in my job, helped me gain the confidence that was necessary to take the reins of my personal life in my hands... Or perhaps, just overThinking things like the bloody INTJ that I am ? This is super interesting to me. I always test as INFP online but I think my T/F preference shifts based on situation. I can totally relate with INTP when I read about it. I think I operate as either INFP or INTP depending on the situation.

I'm so happy to see so many INFPs and INFJs. No wonder I like you guys so much. Those tend to be my favorite personality types.

Me too Chatter Fox. Guess that's why I'm happy here. I'm a solid INFP, always have been and I have taken the test a good handful of times over the last 25 years. Always the same result. I would guess my husband to be ESTP, almost a polar opposite. Not that opposites can't work out, but it is incredibly challenging to have such depth of feeling and a "thinking" spouse who just can't relate. There's also a big disconnect for us due to our Sensing/iNtuitive mismatch. Fascinating thread, bballgirl.

I am INFJ which seems to fit me very well. I tend to want to look after other people and put their needs first (way too much if I am not careful). Apparently we want full on relationships with lots of connection and are not very good at leaving them. (although we are quite good at getting over them once out.) The funny thing is my wife is also INFJ, although occasionally she has come out INTP. And she is scared shitless of relationships with too much connection. I always said she was an F pretending to be a T. Or is she a T, pretending to be an F?? Just thinking "out loud" here...

I seem to remember getting a bit of a kindred spirit vibe from you from some of our previous interactions on here. No joke. I actually had a feeling you were an INFP.

ENFJ here; pretty solidly, it seems. For much of my life, I scored INTJ, and then I recall briefly INFP. ENFJ Hugh? No wonder we like each other's post so much! This old philosophy that opposites attract. There may be truth in that. They attract, but do they make good life long partners? Someone mentioned that there are a lot of INFJ on here. What's the difference in a INFJ and a ENFJ?
