(I'm such a nerd that I have to see if this works. If you have already read this, bear with me.) SmartKat: You have a great smile. Do you have any photos without the sunglasses? Tom: Well thank you for the compliment, and yes there are three without the glasses, and none without any glasses, cuz I can't see without them. Do you have any full body shots? SK: Let me look for one. I'd prefer to share that privately, not where everybody can see it. Is there a way to attach photos to these messages? Tom: I don't think you can. If you are comfy you can email me at (email address.) SK: (emailed Tom a photo of me in a swimsuit, from the waist up) Tom: This came through, but it was not a full body shot, only from your breasts (they are very nice by the way !), up. You have a full body shot? SK: Not on my phone. I have some on my computer, but I'm out right now. I can do it when I get home. How about you? Do you have any full body shots? Tom: I think there are some online, aren't there? SK: (emailed Tom a photo of me full length, stretched out on a bed, wearing shorts and a T shirt. This photo was in my private gallery at EP.) Tom: This is a very nice photo! Thank you. But it looks like it may have been taken quite a while ago? Did you take it yourself? SK: It was last summer, and my ex took it. (about 15 minutes pass, during which I become rather annoyed with this guy) SK: And you know...if this is all about looks, feature-for-feature, I'm better looking than you are. Unless you have an insane amount of money, you aren't likely to do much better than me.

@smartkat "SK: And you know...if this is all about looks, feature-for-feature, I'm better looking than you are. Unless you have an insane amount of money, you aren't likely to do much better than me." You're better looking than 80% of the people male and female (ILIASM members excluded)

Hi SK,....you once ask me back at EP if I would tutor you when it comes to men and dating. Shall we start with the preface to the course. 1) If possible tag your photos with a date. The majority of women on dating sites post pictures that are anywhere from 5 to 25 yrs old. So it's understandable if he wants something current and have at least 1 full body shot in your profile, taken within the last year. 2) I have learned that emailing through the site(at POF) can sometimes be slow depending on how many folks are active at that time. Email communication might best be done somewhere else. 3) The ladies at EP said men lie about their height, just in case his listed height is the same as yours. 4) If he leaves you hanging, waiting, that would indicate he's probably going to be rude in real life.

Post more. Heck, you should strike up a conversation with a guy just to post what he says here!

IDK, if a woman sends me any pic of herself, I don't complain. Especially if she sends one of her in a swimsuit!

Actually, now that I have thought about it, a full length photo is a good idea. It would weed out men who don't like my body type ahead of time. And, if a man has to lie about his height because of me, then he might have dwarfism. I'm only 5'2"!

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it weird that you would weed out somebody else based on their body type without even having a conversation with them?

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it weird that you would weed out somebody else based on their body type without even having a conversation with them? Really, honestly unmatched? For most humans physical appearance is one part of an ingrained psychological determination of mating and reproductive suitability. It's how we are geared as a species. Honestly speaking for myself if a woman is big as a house and twice as ugly I would not be seeking them out as a mate no matter how brilliant their conversation or the size of their bank account. Call me shallow, but I am willing to bet a hundred dollars in the dark, that truth be known, the vast majority of us fall into the category where physical appearance is the 1st determiner of further actions. Not the only one by any means, but the 1st.

But it seems to me that a lot of people will say I only fancy girls who are brunette, between 5'3 and 5'8, have large breasts, medium noses, weigh less than 150lb, have long hair (but not too long) and wear the right make up. OK I am exaggerating but I am sure it has much more to do with what their mothers or their first girlfriends looked like than any built in physiological preference.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it weird that you would weed out somebody else based on their body type without even having a conversation with them? It's a reality of life that for many people, physical attraction matters. Since this is the case, by showing what I really look like, I can save myself some pain and embarrassment. Men who do not find me attractive will not start up with me in the first place. It sounds like they're weeding me out. But I look at it this way: I'm weeding out guys who could only hurt me.
