I brought the kids to their dad's house this evening.
This is the house I used to live in with him.
I left that house and moved out.
Tonight I had to go into the house to help the kids bring some things into it and he has gotten new furniture, started painting the inside, etc.
He was able to modify the loan which I am no longer on the house or the loan and he's paying half of what I pay in rent.
Since the divorce he got promoted to VP of the company and has doubled his salary.
I know in the long run I am better off not married to him.
I'm happy for the children and for their stability that they can stay in that house.
I just feel like he was a shitty husband so I divorced him and now he is getting rewarded.
I'm just venting and feeling down.

You are better off not married to him and you are happy for the kids. Those are two very good things to try to focus on.
