Here's my problem my grandmother went to her pastor for advice about her husband beating the shit out of her and he laid the law on her about being a wife so she stayed and he beat the shit out of her and kids and grandkids and here we are 70 years later and what he did still makes an impact and the church still protects those decisions years ago. Fuck that shit, Sure the church said she should stay married but she can still be married while his ass is in jail or beaten so bad by a member of the church applying eye for an eye that he would be afraid to raise a finger.

Are you seriously suggesting that the church ought have its own disciplinary arm to arbitarily go out and smack shit out of miscreants who are accused of breaching the teachings of the Lord ? I could just imagine Mrs JonDoe (see his story) fronting up to the local Bishop saying "my husband belted me" and the Bishop despatching his God Squad to give JonDoe a touch up. The principle of *due process* would appear to be absent in such a scenario, particularly as - in this scenario - Mrs JonDoe's accusation was complete bullshit.

Just as a FYI, a non-Christian website, The Cut, did a fair piece on a new podcast, "Sex Chat, 4 Wives." Two of the four women involved with this podcast guided me through the process of starting my blog and getting it up and running.
