Why are you here? Serious question? I have been here in this situation a long time and seen many comments like yours . Many just offer sympathy and move on the next story I have developed a cynical streak reading many stories and sometime I disagree but if you come back at me and debate/disagree I really do like that as it makes me contemplate my own situation. I sense your cynicism, but to be fair don't you think that people should feel free to share whatever is on their hearts whether it seems very personal to you or not? Each story told here is different, but each has a thread running through it that we can all relate to. |

Then is comes back to the question are you just looking for empathy or did you come looking for possibly hard truths. We can take any information we want. I am here for because my sexless marriage is destroying me. I am happy if your able to look at the stuff I say and say bull-crap that's doesn't apply to me, and move on. I, for one, love a good debate @thecelt. Typically, a discussion on differing opinions and such is truly an informative, educational, and almost exhilarating situation. However, judgemental statements such as: thecelt said:sorry mate it didn't go your way and that's precisely it it didn't go your way. Counseling is private and telling your story, your way here to get affirmation isn't cool Are just that, judgemental. So, that's me being judgemental now (which I abhor). Seems a bit like you may be trying to incite a negative conversation. If I may be so bold as to ascertain, Rex was merely sharing and looking for some support / advice which is precisely why we're all here, isn't it? I certainly don't want to have to edit my own posts so that my "agenda" isn't showing. Human beings in LIKE situations offering fellow human beings support and friendship. THIS is gold imho. |

Please, look for support, and take it where you can find it. Being amongst a group that "gets" you, is crucial to getting through these sh*tty hands we've been dealt. |
