I was in the kitchen this morning and my husband came to kiss me goodbye. He looked especially handsome and he smelled wonderful. He is using a new shaving cream or something. I couldn't help myself, I put my hands on his shoulders and started nuzzling his neck and the side of his face. He started laughing and backing away, trying to put me away from him. He said laughing "No, this is weird". I started teasing him that women were going to be following him around all day. He kept laughing and dodging me as I annoyed him all the way out the door. It was really fun. ::: sigh :::

Oh, no it's the playful and then rejected thing. I hate that thing. It takes courage to put yourself out there like that (although it occurs to me that it shouldn't take courage). Good for you Rhapsodee! I just can't do it anymore the attempt/rejection ratio is just too high with odds of success of even a lighthearted response being near zero. However, the odds of irritable reaction or "you men are all the same" comment at 99.9%. Good God, I've been trying to be a resigned-but-have-oh-so-been-there-for-oh-so-long-mature guy but this just breaks my heart.

Reading the experiences here is sad and difficult, but it does provide some comfort. Thanks for sharing.
I love the smell of my wife's hair. She doesn't even wear perfume and still smells nice. So painful and agonizing at the same time.

It was really fun. Have you tried this naked or in nothing more than thigh-high stockings and heels? Next time take his hand and make him touch you were you want to be touched. Start undoing his belt, pull down his zipper, or rip his shirt open. Try being a little more forceful with him -- as a woman you can probably get away with a little more than a guy in a SM. Bend him over your knee and spank his ass, he might actually like it. Help him unleash his inner beast! 🙂

I love that the gift was from HER daughter to you. To hell with the wife - wear that cologne and go flirt with someone else! It was her daughter...funny, I think she can see we're not doing well at all, maybe her way of trying to help or another message for me, lol.
I will do that Geek
Just a suggestion, take it or leave it. Canoe is the cologne you and I wore in high school, and that's been a while. How about a fragrance update. I have gotten some compliments from ladies when I wear Aspen. You might also try POLO or Givenchy or my latest find that I forgot I had, Warm Vanilla Sugar.

solodriver you realize there are plenty of women that are ready and willing to smell your cologne. Ugh I feel your pain. Speaking for myself, actually, no I don't realize that yet. I've been with one woman for the past 28 years who jumped my bones until she ate the wedding cake. While I thought about outsourcing a few times, I never acted on it because I felt it was morally the wrong thing to do, but in hind sight, I think it might possibly have saved my marriage or caused me to leave much sooner, which either way would have given me a chance at being happier all these years. Of course, I can play Monday morning quarter back or just get back in the game. I'm choosing to do the later.

JonDoe I too feel outsourcing would be Violating my moral code. I suppose that's why we come here for support.

May I suggest something a bit more manly like WD-40 or Hoppe's No. 9? Drives the women wild with passion, or so I've heard. 😂

I personally don't like cologne on a man. My ex bathed in Cool Water, maybe that's why. I dunno, but, a really good deodorant like Chanel Egoiste or Classic Nautica is just the perfect amount of scent (to me). Doesn't over-power his natural mmmmm smell in the morning, but, leaves just a lingering.

Just like my husband, the reaction is the same... I still do this to him every day, because it makes me feel good. The smell of freshness after a morning shower, the scent of shampoo in the hair is the best for me. I am not really a fan of strong cologne, but on special occasions it feels like he made extra efforts. Sadly my H only wears cologne when he goes out with friends. solodriver I gasped when I read your wife's reaction! This is crazy! I wish my H would do this! I would not let him leave the room. Sigh...

Mine is the classic old spice or Lili Bermuda Navy, that we got during our delayed honeymoon (after the short honeymoon where she was an emotional wreck). When I use to wear it often, I had females friends that would compliment me. www.lilibermuda.com/collections/gentlemen/navyNavy is for the classic man who is perfectly groomed and ready to meet the day. Navy is fresh with sparkling green citruses and precious woody notes blended in perfect harmony.

Sounds heavenly - I may have to look it up and buy a candle or spray it on my bed mate (my trusty pup). I love citrusy- woodsy scents. Nice!
