Think my sister may be bringing me some pot brownies tomorrow for cChristmas. Wish i had them tonight. One of my friends made pot butter and put them in a batch of cookies. She handed out the cookies as Christmas presents on a girls' night a couple of weeks ago. Hmmm...sounds like a fun activity while wrapping presents! I almost forgot about it. I am making very little progress getting these presents done.
On 3rd glass of wine. (Maybe 4th)
Hubs sleeping on couch.
Kids are okay. Playing games. But 4 year old daughter keeps popping in on me.
Listening to Christmas music.
Drinking more wine.
You think I will finish???

Ok, so here's how the evening has progressed:
Goat feeding and shit removal - As expected. Goat was much happier to see me than my wife, but all I had to deal with goat shit. Low drama activity.
Star Wars - I honestly think it is the best they have done since maybe Empire Strikes Back
Hot Tub - Toasty and nice. It's 10x10 feet, so I can lie on a pool float in it. Had it for 4 years and wife has joined me once.
Wine - A nice Cabernet and quite tasty
Other Indulgences - Dark Chocolate and some cheese as well (Gouda)
As of now, no inter-species intercourse. However, the night is young.

What's strange is that I'm out here in the suburbs but my daughter does FFA (Future Farmers of America). Just in the past 2 weeks, I've helped feed the goat, clean its pen, re-anchor the feed trough, and clean 2-day caked-on assplosion diarrhea.
What can I say? I love my kids.

There is only 2 songs each holiday season that causes my tears to flow. One is a song my dad used to enjoy and he died on Christmas Day so that song will do it for me.
But the other one has haunted me since I was 6 years old. It's from the TV special Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and it's called "There's Always Tomorrow".
I used to wonder and hope for tomorrow and now at the age of 57 I'm still hoping. Angrily I scream, "How much longer do I have to wait and hope for tomorrow and for my dreams of giving and receiving love to come true for me?"
