We need a term to call the spouse in a sexless marriage.
I was with wife at the therapist today. It was all about her as usual, and my mind wondered.
I was forming a thought with calling her my roommate. I never got it out though.
What did you do this week? I did some puzzles with my roommate. We cooked, did laundry and went for a walk. When she was out for a few minutes, I rubbed one out.
There are newly weds, right. We need a sexless weds type of term. Usually I introduce her as my wife. We need different terms for the sexless marriage.
any thoughts?

The generic term is "refuser". "Roommate" works. But some of us have our own pet names.

Hmm. Playing off the word "mate:" - antimate
- illegitimate
- approximate
- inmate ("in-" being a prefix meaning not)
- stalemate
- overestimate
- inanimate
- penultimate (for the hopeful among us)
Thanks for the distraction, @lostsoul. My heart needed a good laugh.

"Roommate" is a common enough descriptive in here, and on the old EP group as well. - Under closer examination, it is often found that the refuser spouse ain't even much of a roommate. - But in the interests of contributing something, hows about combining "avoidant" with "refuser" for "avuser". Sounds alright, and is pretty close to "abuser" (which would be a far more accurate tag)
