Smartkat seriously, if a man wants to be in your life, he will find a way. No excuses, no "it's too hard" no "she isn't ready for me." As a matter of fact, that goes for friends as well. If someone truly cares, and thinks you worth it, they will find the way. They will move at a pace that is comfortable for you and support you no matter what you decide. So if you feel that you may try again, reach out to him, that will be the true test of his character. Can he accept what you can give? Maybe that will change, maybe not. But he will stay in your life if he really values you.

five helmet to helmet hits It's sickening. I would change the helmets and manufacture them using jello (PDMS). Or put padding on the outer surface. Or use Tesla auto technology that prevents helmet helmet collision... automatically ties shoelaces together before impact. Go back to the leather helmets - It will stop in a week.

My sis gave us swing dance lessons but he wouldn't go to them Back in WA state. I used to dance Thursday nights with my girlfriends. We went to a casino where a 70's and 80's band called the Afrodesiacs played. It was Ladies Night and I got lots of attention which really helped briing my joy and confidence back. So you're a swinger but your H isn't? Wait... that didn't sound right. There is a group of kids who practice swing dancing in Central Park. They are fun to watch. I tried to grab the Frigidaire and just start dancing off to the side, but she wasn't having it. I ended up "dancing" with my friend. At least our wives smiled about it.

l love that there is a music of the day thread! Wow, some great songs on here too. Loved the Alt stuff from eternaloptimism and the BeeGee-AC/DC mix up was off the chain. Here is my contribution that I found recently. I am not there just yet but so much truth in it and funny and sad at the same time. I've thought this more than once, I'll admit.

I don't really know that I ever want to live with somebody again. I really like the idea that separate living spaces reinforce the aspect that we are two individuals, with our own things/plans/destiny/lives who choose to spend time together. I suppose it depends how far apart the living quarters would be - like someone in the neighborhood would be simpler than driving across town all of the time - but... I don't know. For me, this would be so far off that I guess I can contemplate it before it will actually come up. I have never lived alone before and this past year of it has been a really wonderful thing, honestly. I like it and won't want to give that up for a long time. I wouldn't mind a "distance" relationship. One where the anticipation of seeing the person builds up. It all depends on the person and the situation.

Fixing things is about the one thing I'm really good at. Positive feedback would go a long way. Yes! A thank you goes a long way! For me it is cooking. I love to cook a meal and have someone enjoy it. My H will take a bite and immediately tell me it needs more salt, needed to cook less/more. Ask my why I did it a certain way. Some dishes, like Chicken Parm, I just don't cook at all anymore because it was never as good as his mother's. Just a little "job well done" goes a loooong way for me. I am all about those words of affirmation. Chicken parm. Great. Now I'm hungry.

becca , okay, and I'll apologize in advance. If you need to borrow any "tools" from me, let me know. Haha. Sorry. One of the things that bothers me about this, and I may be being overly sensitive about this, but when I fix something, how about a "thank you" or "good job"? Fixing things is about the one thing I'm really good at. Positive feedback would go a long way.

It's twisted but I get it ha ha. Feel the burn. I might ask you for some weights tips at some point. I always feel stupid because I've no idea what I'm doing with them. You pick them up. Then put them down. Repeat as needed.
