Bakersfield, California. There's a reason it's called the armpit of CA and/or the Bible Belt of CA. It's the biggest small town you'll ever live in, and it's like a black hole in that it sucks people back in whenever they try to leave. On the plus side, the cost of living is great for CA, and I do love being this close to the ocean.
