Back in 1981, the woman who invited into her bedroom and was laying naked said something similar to me. She said "hey babe come closer, don't be shy!" This song reminds me of that night.
Maybe it will happen again to me. . .

A different kind of sad song .. this one being the ballad of a girl who limits the length of her affairs to only a year right at the start. No matter what, that is all the time she will allot to any man for as long as she lives. It is a promise she made to her father years before and a vow she will never break. One did not have to be an adult to sense how sad a song this one was, and easy enough for even a child to comprehend. A strange little song that was destined to become a #1 hit in the United States.
We'll Sing In The Sunshine" reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 on October 17, 1964 and peaked at #1 on Cash Box on October 31.

I have loved this song since college. Just heard it again after so so long with a new meaning.

Still, he has never been a waste of my time.
