There is no doubt!
Funny story. A friend of mine posted this on his Facebook. Turns out that he shares a FB friend in common with the bride. That friend commented so I had a chance to peruse the brides Facebook page with lots of pictures both wedding and pre-wedding life. She looks like a fairly normal woman with a bit of a dramatic flair. He looks as gay as the day is long. And just like the one posted here, her holding on to him while he looks out to the world.
They've been married 3 weeks. In a few years, she will be ready to post here.

I will give the couple the benefit of the doubt. They do have a lot of interests in common. They seem well-versed in book smarts if not in life smarts. If I was any good prognosticating marriages, I probably would not be part of ILIASM.

I think there is a fairly good shot she could have become a refuser if he isn't destined to beat her to it. She won't even get the anchor VonTrapp babies before she can cut off the faucet.

I think there is a fairly good shot she could have become a refuser if he isn't destined to beat her to it. She won't even get the anchor VonTrapp babies before she can cut off the faucet. Interesting perspective. I saw him as the probable issue. What traits do you see in her that would indicate refuser? |

This friends first thing smells to me. I don't read any attraction on either of their parts at all. |

"I remember the first sentence I ever said to him, a couple of hours after being introduced, 'Do you ever SAY anything?'" JMX laughed as she remembered their first night out together in a large group.
"I thought he was cute, but he didn't talk at all."
Two years later, at a friend's home, they talked for hours on a deck while everyone else watched a movie inside.
"I attacked him. I wanted him and I was kind of easy and had just broken up from a long term relationship."
A year-long, long distance relationship developed between the two, full of conversations and weekends away getting to know each other, sometimes barely leaving the hotel room.
*Michael soon moved to JMX's state, and they rented a home together.
"You know, I was living with my mother and there were job opportunities where JMX lived for me, so I thought, why not? We can save on rent."
"We were not happy when they moved in together," said JMX's mother. "We have certain values and traditions. He was nice enough, but when JMX told me Michael still had his Dungeons and Dragons game, we were definitely concerned... I mean, did YOU see that Lifetime Movie about the D&D kids that killed people?"
Months later, not being able to keep their hands off of each other, they find that they were pregnant. The most romantic proposal ensued, as Michael took the pregnancy test and put it in the bathroom trash can, then, emptied the bathroom trash can into the kitchen trash can, then, took the kitchen trash out to the outside bin.
"We both sat there in silence," Michael said. "I then popped the question - 'Welp, you want to?"
"Of course, I said 'sure'!" JMX said.
The bride wore an off-white, empire-styled dress to accommodate for her growing belly. At six months pregnant, it was the right decision.
The reception was beautiful, already decorated in white Christmas decorations and the food and drink flowed.
"You know, I never dreamed of my wedding day, but I always figured I would at least be able to have a glass of wine at our love party," said JMX. "Nope."
When asked how he felt about the future, Michael paused for a long period of time. A very long period of time, actually.
"You know, she's smart. She will make a lot of money one day, and I really want a boat."
The couple honeymooned at a local Country Inn & Suites with a red Jacuzzi tub in the room shaped like a heart.
"Well, going to a tropical island while six months pregnant kind of blows. We can do that another time," said JMX.

JMX What a story. Your future was certainly foreshadowed. :-(. Of course, most all of it is true, although certain parts exaggerated or redacted for comedic effect. We didn't get here by not having sex though. There's at least that. |
