Perhaps I am alarmist, but I would rather be proactive than reactive. Gradually the site is being spammed out of relivance. The Off Topic theme is now completely taken by spammers and I notice that Other Relationship Issues has attracted the attention of at least one spammer. I'm guessing it will be gone soon and possibly followed by others being taken over. ProBoards seems unconcerned about the spamming so I am wondering, where will we go when this site is no longer relivant for us?
EDIT: Now I see the Welcome category is being spammed

Maybe we should create another political opinion thread. That's the last time a Mod ran in here to "save the day". Spammers overtaking the site apparently isn't as big of a threat.

If legit members will post new threads or post on old legit threads that spammers have invaded that allows the spammer's posts to decline into oblivion. Just don't bother to post on spammers' threads because that gets others to pay attention to them.

Just don't bother to post on spammers' threads because that gets others to pay attention to them. This is probably the least likely fix or remedy for dealing with spammers. Just look at what is happening here. Members would have to post constantly, probably several times daily to move the spam down and off the page. Most likely the spammer would simply return the next day and post 10 new replies. How is it that ProBoards cannot block these individuals when they are clearly identified and called out. Why do these assholes get a free pass here?

So many spammy posts! Anyone know how to get in touch with our Admin or a moderator??? I have throughly searched the ProBoards "Help" and "Administration" topics. I cannot find anyway to make contact with the site Administraters. I even followed their advise to delete a member from posting or being visable to me. But they still showup when I click on the Headings.

Today I registered a complaint of ProBaords at TrustPilot, At the end of the complaint is a box to check to have TrustPilot forward the complaint to ProBoards. At least i can bad mouth them a bit.

It'd be nice if they'd deputize someone. If only there were a feature that would suspend users and their posts if enough people flagged them. This round of spammers is shockingly prolific. Worst I've seen. Usually they give up in a short while. Some of the spam has phone numbers that could be reported to teh FTC. I'm curious if any of them cost money to call. I've heard of scams that just have to get you to call the number for them to make a bit of scratch. Others have spam gmail which you can report at support.google.com/legal/answer/3110420?rd=2&sjid=14860578605279279236-NABut who has the time, right?

In the Help heading there are instructions that supposedly allow one member to block and/or delete another member. I followed the instructions with a couple of the spammers but nothing happened to their posts. The posts are still showing up.

Let's nuke one user.

Well I have messaged all the Mods, but as yet I have not seen them take any action toward the spammers. This is disappointing. And as I expected after posting a couple times on the topics crammed with spammers I see the spammers quickly came back to get their posts showing, moving me down the thread.
