My wife quit drinking a few years back because it would make her nauseous all the time. But she would lose all inhibitions when it came to sex when she had a buzz. She would be open to try almost anything. She would also let lose and be the initiator which I would look forward to. She would be the giver instead of me all the time. Now it’s me that will get a buzz and and it’s an excuse for her to not put out.

Missingout alcohol can definitely reduce inhibitions for some people, my ex included in that with your wife. In my case, I requested that she not get shit-faced when we had a date, because it made me feel like she had to get drunk to be sexual with me. That backfired. It turns out, she wasn't attracted to me when she was sober. The good news for me was, alcohol or not, it really didn't seem to change our lack of intimacy. It certainly seems to have affected yours. So, yeah, you could try giving her some mood enhancing drug. It might get you by, by making her more receptive. It might just remind you that she still doesn't like sex with you when she's thinking clearly.

I have been there and it is a head scratcher.
If our partner becomes horny when drinking is it because they do desire us but have general sexual inhibitions or do they find us unattractive but the alcohol makes us good enough to scratch their itch?
The why does not matter.

Sounds like the Fun Bobby episode from Friends. We all lose our moral compass after a few beers and do things we regret.

It used to be that alcohol would make my wife horny and open to much more variation. Now I try to avoid it because it makes her mean.
Well, alcohol doesn’t “make” anyone do anything. It lowers inhibitions, so that you can’t hide your true self as easily. There is no such thing as a “mean drunk”. Just a mean person who is now drunk.

Hi,
I once was offered a saying by a lovely Australian girl I really should have got to know better.... "if you want to find out what a woman really thinks of you, go out/date/whatever and once she has drunk about most of a bottle of wine you will know exactly where you stand"...
For me the outcome (mostly after lovely romantic date nights) was "push away attempts to start intimacy, roll over, go to sleep" she did not really understand what date night was for I don't think... as she said she needed us to have a romantic life and I think it def. lowered my W's inhibitions to the point I sensed that romantic did not include sex for her..... maybe she understood 100% LoL

So she came home late and drunk last night. Thought maybe I was gonna get lucky… nope she lays down and starts to vomit. I texted this morning to see how she was and she said emotionally she was bad and I thought maybe she’s upset about us not being intimate anymore. Wrong again. She was upset over her sister and her divorce. No worries about her own sexless marriage.. if she don’t care why do I? Lost all interest in her. Hope her sister has a 2 bedroom apartment 😂🤣
