+1 for this author. She seems to have good “horse sense”. (I would say “common sense”, but that’s jumped the tracks lately.)

Another winner by Psych Mom. My wife and I have half of a low-end sex life, but my gawd, what a difference from the shitshow we were before. So much of the misery was the dreadful mystery of how long it would be before my wife was "in the mood" again. The unknown drought ahead took joy away immediately. I mean, some was there....still had the gushing oxytocin going. Loved every moment, but it was so counterproductive to taint the bliss with that kernel of truth....it was likely at least two months before it'd happen again, but could be more. Occasionally much more. Our sex life today would have many men climbing the walls with frustration. Our frequency is low. Quite low. But it is reliable. She knows lengthy droughts cause damage and she's paying attention. I have confidence in her. The fact she's aware and investing in something I find critical is a gesture of love that's instrumental. The sexlessness is bad, but if it's temporary, or there's good reason for the dry spell, perhaps not lethal to the relationship. Indifference is the poison, for me.
