Looking at your past posts you have had " the Talk" several times.
Hopefully you've gained more confidence, wisdom, and understanding from this site.
Your conversation probably had much more tenacity than the last time.
You adopted too? We should share stories sometime!

A word I have avoided using for a long, long time. Yes, adopted all three of my children! You have as well?

Sending!! Don't back down and don't give up! Excellent work, you should do something nice for yourself immediately, preferably as far away from your H as possible. See my post on Zipcode Therapy---can be therapeutic even for an afternoon.

Vibes on route via courier. I would also have liked to be able to send you the contact details of a legal practitioner in your jurisdiction so you could establish how a divorce would shake out for you, and the other things you need to have (exit strategy etc) to see this through. - And also, some tactical advice - Refrain from discussing this further at the moment, until you have your legal advice, exit strategy in do-able shape, support network shored up, advice about helping the kids (if any) transition through such a scenario, all done. The reasoning behind this is - "If" you go off unprepared, and your spouse essentially calls your bluff, and you are not in a position to deliver on your "talk" then you have actually hurtled yourself backwards by quite a way. You've shred your cred. Your spouse knows that they need not take you seriously. At this "talk" stage of proceedings, it is very easy to accidentally shoot yourself in the foot.

Any update on " the talk"? Have you had the talk with an attorney yet?
