Hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather and the lifting of covid restrictions. We have been out enjoying live music . Eating out and being outside in the sun. We had a pool put in so yard is a bit of a mess but enjoying it none the less. Have a couple more projects to get done. And a vacation coming up. š Got to have my kids and grandson over for my birthday. First time I have seen them all together since Thanksgiving. Over Christmas my daughter and her husband has covid so they were on face time. Not the same!

Sounds like fun is being had. We're in the process of moving house. Move out June 25 but new place wiknt be ready till Aug 28, so once we get the nightmare known as packing over we spend 2 months in our trailer. It's parked permanently in a resort so no moving that around anyway.

I have a friend doing something similar. She sold her house waiting for new house to be done but living with her daughter. She also works from home. Luckily it should only be a couple of weeks. I hate moving personally. Moved twice since 2016 that was plenty.

It's a bit strange hearing about covid restrictions being lifted. We were masked, but restaurants have been open, planes been flying, etc...for much of the past year. I guess it matters what part of the country / world you're in.
I am looking forward to large concerts again though!

We did fly last summer. We did s beach vacation but restaraunt capacity was limited. But by us we quit going out to eat when we had to be inside and was all crowded together. Movies were not open. No music in bars once it got cold out and it couldn't be outside. Now after vaccinations masks are optional and venues are at full capacity. Last summer big concertts were cancelled and rescheduled for 2022 š¢ I have quite a few pending tickets.

I have read that the Delta Version (India version) is on the increase and it is more transmissible. The almost good news is if you had two covid vaccines you are 80% protected. One covid vaccine gets you 33% protected. I am going to stick to mask wearing, social distancing and hand sanitizing.
I would hate to see another lock down like some countries had or still have.

I seen that too. They expect it to be more of an impact in the US in the fall. We all got vaccinated. Most of the things are out doors since it's summer. We went to the movies for the first time in probably 2 years. There was only 4 other people in there but they have chairs with tape blocking them so they are still social distancing. IHOP and Denny's seem to be also but that's about it

In Ontario we just had our restrictions (somewhat) lifted on Friday. We can now go INTO non-essential stores and the patios are open for dining.

We have the Delta variant in full force here, with the govt advising against unnecessary travel into and out of major cities in the north. Hospitalisations with Covid in the U.K. are up 48% in a week, but from a low base with very manageable numbers. This week a whole year group in my daughterās secondary school have been sent home to quarantine. This week, BoJo has delayed the final stage of suspending restrictions in an abundance of caution. (Pity he didnāt do that in April when it was bloody obvious that disembarking passengers from flights from India should be tested and quarantined rather than allowed to be free range. Hence our current mess. He is a first class tosser.) Itās okay though, shops and restaurants are open with some reduced capacity only. Weddings and funerals have restricted numbers but generally life his tolerable. Handy is quite correct, the Delta variant is 60 % more transmissible than A was, but is unlikely to pose a serious risk to the majority of vaccinated people. Where we are fortunate enough to live somewhere with free and accessible vaccines, if you choose to decline it, well you take responsibility for that choice.
