I'm feeling very annoyed today with the various bureaucracies I have to deal with.
I still haven't been able to start my new job yet, because my security clearance has not processed.
I'm now having some issues with my state's unemployment benefit agency, because apparently I didn't enter something by a deadline.
I'm dealing with the health insurance bureaucracy as well. The pre-Obamacare way of doing things was dangerous; it was basically "be employed by someone who will insure you, or risk needless death or lifelong health problems." But the ACA - while it's better than nothing - is still a thoroughgoing pain in the ass to deal with.
Normally, I am fairly patient with bureaucracies. They are annoying, but it's how things get done. It's how the world works in developed nations in the 21st century. It's not like we have any realistic alternatives. I for one do not want to live in a cave and gather nuts and berries to eat.
But on days like today.... Grrr!

I'll take you to the range. It's stress relief with explosions.
Wait - now that I just read that it just seems wrong.

wewbwb - add some Tannerite to the bag. It's very satisfying, even in tiny quantities.

@smartkat, that sucks, when I've needed a security clearance companies have always had me doing SOMETHING while it processes. The initial clearance can take 3-4 weeks, and the final takes months.
I actually just scored a bureaucratic victory at work - I got our manufacturing department to realize that having an engineer and a manufacturing representative sign a document makes far more sense than having two engineers sign. They were afraid by signing they were taking design responsibility, when all they're doing is agreeing they think they can manufacture it that way. That's been (until now) a discouraging fight.
