I like science when there were only Electrons Neutorns and Protons. If you think a SM is complicated, get a load of the following.

"Leptons" is obviously a misprint, that must be Lipton's, who make tea - hence the green colour. Green Tea. "Muon", Green Tea with milk --- an abomination! in fact "Strange" as it's called directly above. "Quarks" are next as we're already talking dairy products. We, in the iliasm group can probably relate to "Top", "Bottom", "Up" and "Down" - except it's just not happening for us! "Charm", well, we're right back to the tea, and little old ladies who are prim and proper, drink tea but do not put out. "Boson" - he probably has a girl in every harbour, and while at sea ... cough cough (poor midshipmen) "Gluon" - yeah, well, something must hold it all together I guess.
"Neutrinos" - not a clue. Might have something to do with the fallopian tubes?!? "Photon" - who brought Vietnamese soup into this? Guess they grow tea besides coffee ...

Incidentally I am just killing time here, going into hospital in less than 2 hours to get a new knee put in. I just hope that I'll still be able to walk out again!

Petrushka, best wished on the knee replacement. do not be surprised if you see several bruises after the surgery. I watched a knee joint surgery and it was OH , MY Gosh, the surgeon was a carpenter cutting bone and then drilling and finally pounding things in place.
They have to apply a Tourniquet to the upper leg to keep you from bleeding to death, hence the bruises above the knee.
Walking after surgery might be difficult but it gradually gets better. One word of advice, you will know how much you depend on a knee during your recovery so I think it is unwise to get both knees done at one time. I know a person that did and man, he have a difficult time for a while.
Very creative ideas regarding my post about The Standard Model. Your knee might be impaired but your mind is still functioning at 100%. WTG!

While Handy and Petrushka debate the Map of Particle Physics, surely a mainstay at any dinner conversation, I, as a keeper of odd knowledge, bring you something of a more practical nature. Attachments:

I was looking up some facts about Brother Baza's Australia and in particular, Kalgoorlie - Boulder in Western Australia. This lead to me wondering why certain minerals deposited in a particular area (Hydrothermal mineral deposits). I looked up the term I found in the Kalgoorlie - Boulder article and then went to that site which lead me to Hydrothermal solution www.britannica.com/science/mineral-deposit/Hydrothermal-solutionWhy am I interested in minerals and basic elements? Some day a few minerals will be in very short supply. I recycle several things now so hopefully someone in the future will have the luxuries I now have.
The minerals and elements that are on the Earth came from comets and meteors, which produced violent impacts on the Earth. I don't anticipate any low impact deliveries of new minerals from space so my way of thinking is we better make the best of what is here already.

Just out of interest, Ms enna's Son has worked in the mining industry in Kalgoorlie - Boulder for many years now.

Baza, I used to service some office machines for "Stillwater Mining" so I bought maybe 100 shares of the stock. The company was located in 3 places in Stillwater County MT. I went to 2 of the locations. I asked the people in the office how the platinum, palladium, gold but no one in the office knew how the minerals got there in the first place. I suggested a meteorite strike a long time ago because one end of the mine is near the surface and several miles away at the other end of the mine, the mine is several thousand feet lower. Stillwater Mining Company is engaged in the development, extraction, processing, refining and marketing of palladium, platinum and associated metals (platinum group metals or PGMs) from a geological formation in the Stillwater igneous complex in south central Montana known as the J-M Reef and from the recycling of spent catalytic converters.
Back to your country Baza, I have spent many an evening looking at things in Australia. Some of the original criminals did all right for them selves. OTH, some people think the local people got some raw deals. Weather they got a raw deal or their previous lives were very primitive, I can't say. I have watched videos of pre WWII tribal life. Not what I would consider an easy life.
In the Wild with Harry Butler (TV Series 1976-1981) various YouTube videos
and maybe 100 other videos and articles about that part of the world.

Red Flags While Dating. Here are some of the top-voted answers: 1."Constant interruption during conversation. Fuck's sake, control your impulses at the most basic level."* 2."Nothing is ever their fault. Either their parents refused to admit their child was not perfect, or they think the world is out to get them."* 3."Eating all the fully-loaded nachos. You can't go out to a restaurant and order fully-loaded nachos to share, and then eat all the fully-loaded ones." 4."The way they treat service staff, like petrol pump attendants and waiters, is a good indication."* 5."The way they argue. If it's an endless shouting match with no chance for the opposing party to so much as speak, it's a good sign they were spoiled." 6."Leaving trash on the table at fast food restaurants."*** 7."How they react to a 'no.' There's the 'Okay, well, then not' way, and the 'You dirty bitch, how dare you deny me?' It's not even only in dating. Say no to someone who wants to borrow something from you or asks for a ride, and it'll be the same." 8."Playing their music super loud on a quiet train/plane/bus. Nobody wants to hear your shitty playlist, dude. Wear some headphones." 9."Being a shitty house guest who is able to placidly watch someone else clean up your mess and not even offer to help."* 10."Bad table manners." "Smacking while eating. For fuck's sake, nobody has any reason to eat like a pig and force other people to hear them chew their food. That's not only disgusting, but also very rude." 11."Not saying the 'magic words' — please and thank you." 12."How they leave a toilet." 13."Mocking people with disabilities, people of lower economic background, or people who are not as 'cool' as them."** 14."They don’t respect other people's boundaries."* 15."Spits in the street!" "Also gum too! I'm so fucking tired of having to scrape gum off the bottom of my shoes 'cause someone couldn't wait until they got to a trash can." 16."When they keep their shoes on in someone's house. You definitely never had to clean that. I mean, at least take your shoes off when you see the host taking them off."* 17."Throwing trash out of their car window."*** 18.And finally, "The test for someone’s decency is whether they put the shopping cart back in the carousel once they are done with it, or if they just leave it in the parking lot."** (this is something that bugs me, people just leaving shopping carts any place in the car park-parking lot.)
each * represents my displeasure. Some I did not rate because it feels like any first grader should know it is wrong.
