What with the coronavirus and all that I am feeling a bit morbid. I was wondering how many of us feel we have had our last sex session and that is it.

I think it likely, I've chosen to stay for reasons explained elsewhere. I don't believe my wife enjoys sex, so I will be rejecting it if she does suggest it.
Since she has health issues now, I can't see it happening for the foreseeable future. Just need to come to terms with that fact.

I’m pretty sure I had sex for the last time two and a half years ago. That’s when my dad died so it was pretty much out of pity. Unless I get a girlfriend, which I’m hoping for. Hope is all I have left though. I actually don’t even know any girls so... life sucks.

I sure as hell hope not. We may be dampened down for a while as this virus runs its coarse, but when we get through it life will still hopefully be waiting on the other side, and that includes sex. The idea of never plowing that furrow again goes against the grain for me.

My wife has totally shut up shop, even kisses are banned as they might be infected. At 65 I doubt I could divorce and find a willing new partner. Professionals are off the agenda as my wife watches that area like a hawk. Even references to escorts on tv are commented on. So, that seems to be it. And if I get laid down by the virus, that is that. Maybe ib the summer when all this stops I might regain my natural cheerfullness and optimism.

I've certaintly felt like that the past several days. It's very sad and depressing, but seems, at least to me, to be a real possibility.

Yup. She watches out for me going to London solo. And watches the bank account for withdrawals.

Yup. She watches out for me going to London solo. And watches the bank account for withdrawals. I have this habit of asking what, on the surface, is an inane question: So? I'm not trying to encourage bad behavior, but given the miseries that are inflicted in the present situation, just how bad could things get if you just didn't care and did what you wanted to do anyway? "I don't like it when you go to London!" "So?" "I don't like it when you take out money!" "So?" "I think you're seeing someone else!" "So?" You may just be going to see a play or a movie, but so what? I think the saying is that the person who cares the least has the most power in determining a sex life. I'm sure the same thing goes for a relationship. (Again, probably bad advice, but I can't help but think that not giving a fig for the snitfits of the other has to be freeing.)

It is hard to see another's view. I suspect those who withdraw sex from a marriage do not see this as betrayal. Those who are not interested in sex assume their partner feels the same. So, maybe they see sex with others as a double betrayal. The sex urge should be easily curbed, not acted on. Sex outside marriage is the real betrayal. Society and most women see sex with escorts as beneath contempt so there is a triple betrayal. If sex caught me in hiring escorts she would divorce me and shame me to the world. Those seeking to leave their marriages see it as a planned event not slung out on their ear.

Coming up on a year since any sexual contact, PIV has been off the table for a couple years. Pretty sure that was the end of it. Between home construction, covid, wife laid-off, the stress level is too high. She needs very little excuse and now there are plenty of pretty good ones.
I'm fine with it. I assumed we were through.
