I have lost weight and hove in at 173 pounds today. We are eating healthily and small portions due to the panic buyings and it paid off. I wore my trousers of truth today, only for minutes but hey ho. We are discovering old fashioned cooking, cook from basic items, cook with an eye to a second meal and cook with taste additions of herbs and spices. Exercises are daily now, we are allowed out once a day, for ecercises so we make the most of it. I am a strong believer of coming out of this shit storm of a pandemic with lots of positive habits.

I am in the boat with you lessingham. The good side of this sh*t storm is that it has offered me the opportunity to do a bunch of yard and maintenance work on my humble abode. Since the gov. is discouraging old farts like me from prowling the streets I have been on a streak doing stuff that I have neglected and ignored for far too long, but it is getting done now. This place will look like new again when I'm done.
EDIT UPDATE: Well the governor has declared "shelter in place" starting Monday( 29th). So it looks like I will be riding my Harley a bunch this weekend. Come Monday it might be hard to convince a cop my that a fun run is really for medicinal purposes.

And money! I am not spending so the money is accumulating. Slowly but surely. I am not sure what was wrong with me last week but I do not think it was the virus. I had low level chest pains, sore throat and aches. Could have been a chest infection or a cold. It never got better or worse. But today it seems to have gone. Now the caution remains not to get the Big One. Cars and bikes need to be ridden. I am not sure how many will last sitting in the drive. Oil slumps, batteries drain and dust settles. Are we allowed to drive with windows up and doors locked?

You still could have had or could have the virus. The symptoms you experienced sound like it. Some people who get it have very mild or no symptoms. Most people who get it recover.

Like schrodinger's cat, I had it or not had it, but until I get tested I will never know. But the tests are only given at hospitals so we shut ins will never know.

Don't feel like the "Lone Ranger" on the testing. Where I am at a person will not be tested unless their symptoms are severe, unless of coarse you have money.

Well worksfor me, I hope the test is drawing a little blood and they keep on testing Trump until the well runs dry! It is difficult to see where the stats are coming from. If we are relying on self diagnosis, how good are the stats? Is normal flu being misdiagnosed, chest infections etc? I hardly dare whisper but with sick leave available without a docs certificate, how many idleitis cases? Are they only counting those cases in hospitals where, I presume, real testing is being carried out? For those who think this is trivial, read The Machine That Won the War by Isaac Asimov. If the politicians and medics do not have accurate stats, how do they know the policies are working?

There is no way to get accurate infection and recovery numbers without testing, so statistics (not infected with Covid-19, infected and recovered) are educated guesses right now.
I read that Abbot Labs has a quick test. I hope they can manufacture the test kits soon and in enough numbers to test everyone.

And if you do get tested and they find a diagnosis, then you might have to bury a dead cat! Be careful ;-)

172 pounds! The almost mythical "under 170 pounds" beckons.
