There seem to be a lot of trailers for new movies lately - especially some that won’t arrive until next summer. Which ones have your interest?
Off the top of my head, several coming next year... the new James Bond (No Time To Die, the last one with Daniel Craig); Ghostbusters Afterlife (looks really clever, with the original cast); Black Widow (part of the Marvel series, with Scarlett Johansson); Wonder Woman 1984.
Current movies... I really enjoyed Knives Out - a clever murder mystery with Jaime Lee Curtis, Daniel Craig, and several other stars. And Jumanji was fun, but not amazing; the Danny Devito twist was clever. If you’re into 60’s-era car racing, Ford v Ferrari was excellent.
I’ll be seeing the new Star Wars next week, but not really anticipating it. (Though a friend who’s emptying his wallet into the Disneyland coffers this weekend says the new Star Wars land there is amazing.)

Few movies interests me, so I watch YouTube videos of unique places or something new to me in technology.
I might go see the new Star Wars movie mostly because of Rey, Daisy Ridley. I saw her first Star Wars movie she was in but didn't see second one she was in.

jim44444- I’m also looking forward to Cats. The previews look awesome! DryCreek- I just saw that the next Star Wars movie is coming out this Friday. I’m a big Star Wars fan- from way back when Harrison Ford was a young, yummy hunk! I’m sad he won’t be in this movie but still excited to see it. And, I’m game for any movie with Daniel Craig in it!

Just in case anyone is a Star Wars fan and is willing to re-watch all of the movies, this sort of outlines a few of the main point of each episode. Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999)Set 32 years before the original film, The Phantom Menace begins with two Jedi who, acting as negotiators of the Republic, discover that the corrupt Trade Federation has formed a blockade around the planet Naboo Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002) Ten years after the Battle of Naboo, Attack of the Clones opens with an assassination attempt upon former Queen Padmé Amidala, who is serving as the Senator of Naboo. Obi-Wan and his apprentice Anakin are assigned to protect her; Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005) begins three years into the Clone Wars, with Anakin and Obi-Wan leading a rescue mission to save Chancellor Palpatine from Count Dooku and the droid commander General Grievous. Anakin begins to have prophetic visions of his secret wife Padmé dying in childbirth. Solo: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) focuses on the eponymous group of rebels who obtain the plans to the Death Star. Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) focuses on Han Solo about 10 years before A New Hope. Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977) Aboard, the deadly Imperial agent Darth Vader and his stormtroopers capture Princess Leia Organa The rebels destroy the death star Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980) Set three years after the destruction of the Death Star Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983) about a year after Vader's revelation, Return of the Jedi sees Luke joining Leia and Lando in a rescue attempt to save Han from the gangster Jabba the Hutt. Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015) is set 30 years after the destruction of the second Death Star, by which time Luke Skywalker has gone missing. The remnants of the Empire have become the First Order, who seek to destroy Luke and the New Republic. Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi (2017) Rey's attempt to convince Luke Skywalker to teach her the ways of the Force. She also seeks answers about her past and the conflict between Luke and his nephew Kylo Ren. Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker (2019) a climactic clash between the Resistance and the First Order, and the Jedi and the Sith.

Huh. I had no idea Cats was coming to the big screen. I have to say, that’s an incredible all-star cast, and the costumes and giant-sized sets look pretty incredible. It looks like a musical I could be persuaded to watch. 😁

I'm interested in the Star Wars movies, Black Widow, and Jumanji 2 also. Haven't seen any of them yet but maybe I'll see something over the Christmas break. I'll go see just about any sci-fi, fantasy, superhero, action, or comedy movie. I enjoy the escape from reality. Usually I wait for summer though because the drive-in theater is much cheaper. $6.50 for two movies is way better than the $12+ at the cinema for one movie. (Or I wait until I can rent it from RedBox.)

You guys, I heard on Twitter that the "Cats" movie was stupid. Now this was from a kind of over-the-top Tweeter, but a smart one, so be forewarned.
I'm probably one of the few people in the world who has never seen "Cats," the musical. A tweet buddy explained to me that the cats die at the end!
This was a big surprise, because I thought they were "Cats" who became Broadway dancers. Clearly, I have conflated "Cats" with "A Chorus Line" in my brain. LOL

I have never seen Cats, not Les Miserables. Sometimes whole cultural icons pass me by. I never saw Baywatch or Friends on tv either.

Just watched The Marriage with Scareltt Johannson. Deeply bittersweet film about a marriage breakup interestng point made in passing was the wife's act of hacking the husband's emails was a felony! Not sure if it true, but an interesting point as my wife hacked mine.
