We have a fun routine with our sex life. We usually have sex twice a week, on the same days. Saturday of course, because it's the weekend. And I'm an old geezer and need a couple of days between rounds, so we do it again on Wednesday. Of course, we're open minded and adventurous, so sometimes if we're feeling bold we do it on Thursday instead of Wednesday! You're never too old to try something new.
Well this last Wednesday she was in so much pain all she could do was sit on the couch and wince. It was hard even to talk. She was pale and shaky and even she, used to chronic pain, was frightened, and we indeed almost went to the ER (we didn't because ER is only for extreme emergencies because of her weakened immune system and what sitting for hours would do to her fused back). And do you know what she said?
"I'm sorry I ruined our evening."
Tears in my eyes as I write. If I knew all the languages of the world I couldn't find the words to say how much I love her.
