Reflections on an Abusive, Sexless Marriage

saarinista , I put out feelers (words that I am interested in other people) but so far no one is receptive for much more than short friendly minor chit-chat sessions. I avoid point-blank propositions, that is not my style. I try for cooperation on both sides.
I take one lady to yoga 2x a week that had to give up her drivers license. She and I are OK to a point but the compatibility part is not there. I have another lady I stop and talk with about every other week for 30 minuets when I go on some bike rides. She likes hugs, so that happpens 1x per visit. And there is the 87 yr old lady that I see randomly about once a month where I buy an ice tea, (one of 3 places I stop for ice tea) that tells me about a major project FDR visited when she was 4 yrs old and she was photographed at the project site. I will call her the "history Lady" because she reads a lot of history books(over 1,500) and tells me about the events, so I go home and look up the subject matter on the Internet or watch history related Youtube videos. Five years ago her H was alive and I talked with both of them at various fast food places. They were out having ice cream and I had my ice tea.
I an not on any hook-up sites but I talk with anyone that wants to talk or has something interesting to say. I used to be reluctant to do this 5 to 10 years ago but I find I need to be out of the house for my own good. The other option is to stay in my workshop and avoid my W.
I am getting rid of things I used to use in my business and if I did meet someone where the compatibility was very good for both of us, I would have less on my end to get rid of. Some of my stuff seems like a boat anchor. Most is still good but it is old and not desirable, just because it is old. I got $5 for a 200# load today from the metal recycle place. Today's trip must be the 10+ one to the recycling yard. Not much money but at least the metals will be reused and that is important to me. Metals going to the land fill / dump is such a waste. Besides, there is no more room in my own trash bin for the once-a-week pick-up.
