I just bumped across a guy in the office and he was all excited.
"world series tonight!"
I just told him with a smile that I didn't even know who was playing and left it at that.
The funny part is that when I was going through my SM, that kind of "guy talk" about sports and stuff (and my lack of interest) actually made me feel like less of a man. That in turn led me to further "why chasing". Maybe THAT was it. Maybe I needed to be more "manly" in that area.
Now? It just means I don't get into sports. No biggie. Move on.
It's a very small thing in the grand scheme of things. But given some distance from the scene of the wreck, it's easier to see the smaller pieces of debris in the road and be amazed at how much bigger they used to appear.

I'm with you on that. I've never really had much interest in televised/organized sports. I prefer outdoor activities (hunting and fishing mostly) and don't really follow any teams in any sports.

But... stats! And fantasy leagues!
Count me as one of the guys not preoccupied with watching sports. Seems to me that a lot of the players confuse being athletes with brand image and political statements.
Now, the Super Bowl advertisements can be pretty good some years, but there’s YouTube for those. ;-)

I will admit I don't follow any sports. I did watch parts of "the Tour-de-France" (about 30 min at a friends house). I think I watched the half time when Prince sang "Purple Rain" several years ago. I haven't even seen a baseball game on anyone's TV in 20 years. I do read a forum called crazy guy on a bike www.crazyguyonabike.com/ where there are no million dollar salaries and a few unpaid endorsements.

I'm in MA, not too far from Boston, so it is tough to *not* know about the World Series. haha i used to watch more baseball, and may put on the games this week. The do provide some noise in the background, and I get reading done. I figure if there is a big play, they will show it again so I can see it, then I can get back to my book. Let's go Red Sox!

I do not at all follow sports but living in the greater Boston area it is really impossible not to know what is going on right now. I actually enjoy getting swept up in the Bostonian sports enthusiasm. It brings people here together like nothing else.

The main reason I'm rooting for Boston is because I really, really hate Yankees fans 😃

I never liked baseball because it's too slow for me, and then I moved to the land of cricket... (sigh).
I still follow my college football team, mainly by checking scores on Sunday morning. We're having a rebuilding decade. (sigh).

I follow my college football and basketball teams. I also follow the NBA teams where our grads have ended up, like the Golden State Warriors. My husband sweetly got me a Golden State Warriors t-shirt recently, as well as one wall hanging of Draymond Green and his record. I'm certain it was way overpriced but it was sweet of him nevertheless to get it.

Sure, why not? Go Red Sox! It's been a long time since they won the World Series hasn't it? If so I'm all for them. I'm a Cubs fan if I'm anything and it was so nice when they won.🎆🎆🎆
