Sometimes you just have to be brave and take a chance.
Worst case scenario: you will have learned something.
I'm beginning to suspect that I should have taken more risks and been open to more possibilities, throughout my life.
It can be scary. But if you never do it, you'll never know what might have happened.

I'm beginning to suspect that I should have taken more risks and been open to more possibilities, throughout my life. It can be scary. But if you never do it, you'll never know what might have happened. Thumbs up here. And, I'm generally not talking sex or any stupid stuff (cliff diving, high speed motorcycling, swimming on South African beaches with chum necklaces). But living life in fear of persecution, embarrassment, failure, or even crime (within reason) is no way to live. I'm trying to teach this to my kids, and when my wife helicopters over them or prevents them from any risk whatsoever, I simply tell them to wait. Eventually they will be their own human beings and will be able to do what they want to do -- and take responsibility for the consequences. |

@creelunion The whole time I was coming up with the new name (ethereal vs. chysalis) and searching for a fitting avatar, I was lost in music and totally not spending enough time practicing my broken wing story. I have and it changed my life. Would I do it over, can't say that I would. I know now It's easier not knowing what you are missing. Too many lives can be affected by two people meeting. But just as friends, what harm could it do? But if you are not free, think long and hard before you follow through if there is any chance of it becoming more than a friendship.  ?
Things in the world would be a lot better if only, sometimes, people listened to their hearts... Yes..... It would. |
