Gov. Scott just signed a bill eliminating the twice a year time change.
Since Fl. is the "sunshine state" there will be more "🌞" daylight during the winter months.
Other states are likely to follow.
What do you think about that?
Personally I don't like time change, and am glad to see it go.
Hopefully this can be discussed and doesn't have to be political.

Nice!
I think Arizona, Hawaii, and a tiny part of Indiana have been the only areas to ignore daylight savings for the past several decades. It's never been a topic for debate here in Arizona (and we like it a lot), but I half expected the politicians to cave in one day. I'm glad to see a trend in the opposite direction.
It's probably less significant for southern states because they don't lose much sun in winter months. Northern states are likely to care more.
I can imagine the confusion if the trend continues - today, it's a tiny list of exceptions to remember. Not so much when it hits 25 states.

In my jurisdiction, there are only 5 states (and 2 territories) to try and get to "agree" on this sort of thing. The 2 most populous states (New South Wales and Victoria) carry the most clout, and both have daylight saving (starts Oct, ends Mar - this is southern hemisphere) Queensland are bits of cowboys and tend to do the exact opposite of New South Wales, just because they can. South Australia and Northern Territory usually have it. Tasmania usually don't...depending on who's currently elected. Western Australia don't.
Personally I don't give a shit whether we have it or not, but I do find that having different times annoying, but expect little else from our pea-brain type state governments. We can't get 7 states and territories to agree. With 50 states in the US it must be harder still.
