Just a ponder. I was taiught as a kid that love is only love if it’s reciprocated. So, if my spouse loves me but I don’t feel the same, it’s not true love.
The same teacher explained to us that unconditional love only exists between God and us (I went to religious school). Additionally, I’ve read that unconditional love is undesirable in a relationship, as the concept can be used by a spouse or SO to excuse bad or abisive behavior.
Thoughts on this?

You can choose to love someone unconditionalay. That doesn’t mean you have to stay married or otherwise in a relationship with them.
