I have grave doubts that the Lord gives a rats arse about my sex life. I'm with you on that one! God does not care whether people have sex or don't. And like I tell my lover occasionally "don't say Oh God, she's not sucking ur dick I am, say my name!" Okay, but did you read the article?

Okay, but did you read the article? Yes and you are preaching to the choir here with scheduled sex. I have always been forced to schedule sex with fwb due to our own personal schedules and I have no complaints about scheduled sex. I agree with the article and I'm a believer. We schedule sex and the spontaneity comes in while we have sex.

I have always been forced to schedule sex with fwb due to our own personal schedules and I have no complaints about scheduled sex. I agree with the article and I'm a believer. We schedule sex and the spontaneity comes in while we have sex. My mistake!! I went back to read it again, (it's been a while since I posted it) and I realized I posted the article at the last slide, instead of the beginning. I corrected it. You had me wondering, " scheduled sex? was that all it talked about? I thought it was more than that? well it is! While i am on here I would also like to say that ..." I believe God does care about my sex life. The same God who has the hair on my head numbered, created me with a desire for sex and intimacy , wants that to be fulfilled. That same God is not pleased with the treatment I was given under the vows of "marriage". The same God that understands and is fine with people who want to live their entire life single. (I'm done preaching now. I don't like preaching to anyone. I like to think I'm giving hope)

I have grave doubts that the Lord gives a rats arse about my sex life. Okay but did you read the article? Yes Brother greatcoastal , I did. But I am coming from a secular (non religious) background, and as such the exhortations of people claiming to espouse the word of the Lord carry no more (or less) weight to me than the opinion of the average Joe down the street.

greatcoastal, I’m reserving any opinion of whether God cares about my sex life/love life until I see some results that I like. I’m one of those people who likes concrete evidence, that’s all. If a miracle occurs, I will be the first one to admit it.

Brother baza that is your freedom. The right to accept it or reject it. However, if you find that you do agree with much of the words, thoughts, ideas, methods, suggestions, and advice that are presented to you by average Joe, you have the freedom to accept it or reject it. What you may know or may not, is that what you accept from average Joe is, and can be, parallel to God's word. (hopefully that doesn't change your opinion any). I'm sure I can find much scripture to back up many of your wonderful, helpful, knowledgeable ,advice that you so nicely give to others in order to help them. Hopefully you would not change your mind just because scripture backs it? I constantly find that words of wisdom by ,Buddha, the Dali lama, martin Luther king, Ben Franklin, George Washington, etc.... can be found in the Bible. I also know the reality that people have had very bad "church experiences" -me included- and will easily like advise straight from the bible without quoting where it came from. That is why I respectfully like to get your feedback on the "meat", the meaning of what is being taught from articles like this one. Much ,much, more than it's origin. As always thank you for being here, and your mature, polite, helpful responses!

The God/Higher power I believe in does care that I'm not having sex. Just my take on it. I think God as I understand it is all loving and wants me to have a happy life.

As I grappled with my reality, I found scripture plainly indicating that what was being done to me was wrong, but could not find anything indicating what I was planning on was a proper response, but, I felt that God understands. He knows the pain, and knows we have tried, and, he "gets it."

God kind of has a vested interest in us having sex. Without it, humans are doomed. So yeah, God cares about sex. Some spiritual or esoteric traditions also consider it practice for the ultimate merger with God. The French call an orgasm “little death.” There’s a reason for that.
Sex is God-given. We’re meant to have it.

On the other hand, it could well be argued that our propensity to breed has resulted in humans being "doomed" given the finite resources on the planet and the burgeoning population.
So perhaps nature will produce mutations in humans where-in most humans will not have any sex drive, as a method of "correcting" the situation.
Perhaps the sexual refusers of the world are the advance guard of things to come (or rather NOT come) in the future.

If God cared so much about my sex life why would he place me in a marriage that is not fulfilling? Most Christians believe that God is omnipresent and all knowing. If this were true I would not be in the situation i am in. I think if there is a God he has bigger more important things to handle then our sex lives. Fyi. I did not read the article.

Yeah I don't think God gets into specifics like sex, money, appearance, relationships, etc. but I do think God wants us to be happy and God helps those who help themselves. So I needed sex, I went on AM and maybe God influenced my lover to message me - he's an atheist, I think it was Karma that brought us together. Anyway God isn't going to get me to lose weight but I have to do the hard work for that - which I've lost 17 pounds in the past 4 months. God is a source of comfort for some so they can do the hard work but I do not believe that if I pray for something that my prayers will be answered.
