The BIG thing you get out of leaving a dysfunctional marriage, is giving yourself a shot at a better life.

A shot at paddling your own canoe in the direction you choose.
A shot at repairing your financials (if your ILIASM shithole trashed them)
A shot at repairing you trashed ego.
A shot at repairing your personal growth path.
A shot at pursuing your passion(s) in regard to job/hobbies/interests.
A shot at expanding friendships.
A shot at all life has to offer.

Based on the evidence of members in this group who have left their ILIASM shitholes to "take a shot", it is highly likely there'll be some rooting in that picture too - if that activity has some appeal for you !!

There are, as the article suggests, lots of hidden gifts out there post ILIASM shithole.

Baza you are right that all starting over offers is a CHANCE to pick a new direction. The author is also right that it is up to you to TAKE that chance... As many times as necessary if you want it bad enough.
