I went to a concert last night with my niece. We had a great time, however, I did have a few moments of sadness as I glanced around and witnessed couples displaying affection towards one another. The sappy country music didn't help the situation. I just wish I had a man to wrap his arms around me, give me a little hug and a gentle kiss. I want to feel that again with someone who wants to feel it back. (sigh and some tears)  On a lighter note, the 26 year old young man sitting next to me did chat me up and told me I looked great. (lol!) I could be his mom! I don't know whether to be flattered or a little creeped out!  |

1) Sympathies and virtual hugs. Been there, all too often.
2) Niece might have cramped your freedom to flirt, but don't dismiss the fact that you caught his eye and he was motivated enough to compliment you. Whether you'd consider him or not, you're drawing attention. Enjoy it!

Perfectly normal! It is also normal in this group to have those feelings of wanting more. It is the years of hurt and damage that have left a shadow over our entire lives. All you can do is try to fight through it to see the fun and joy that can be had in the moment. |

I remember as a 20 year old having a 36yr old girlfriend, at that age I found women my own age a complete pain in the arse tbh, so I wouldn't discourage the admiring looks of fellas younger than yourself  you never know |
