It's going to be very interesting to see what happens with our dog after the divorce. We adopted our dog from The poodle Rescue Society. He replaced our dog of 20 yrs. that passed away. The dog was less than one years old, He is now 6 yrs old. instead of listing it all it's easier to just say I have been 100% caregiver for our dog. The one important factor is the youngest of the teens, our daughters. Where ever the girls stay I want the dog their too.
I have sent emails to my STBX asking for the money for the dogs grooming. Months continue to go by, no grooming ( some at home grooming by me) and there have been several days of no food for the dog due to my STBX's behavior toward spending money. Interesting how her attitude toward the dog, and my attitude reflect our personalities and how we treat and respect our fellow family members.
I even remember times of thinking, " I will miss the dog so much!! Maybe I should not get divorced!
I won't be surprised if even that has to be decided on by the judge. I pray that there is plenty of input from the rest of the family.

Predictably, she will fight for custody of the dog, strictly out of spite.

Predictably, she will fight for custody of the dog, strictly out of spite. In some ways I hope she does. Just more evidence for the judge. Showing her never ending Narc. behavior. The teens can gladly testify who has done all the work involving the dog. I can only imagine what the teens will think of her when it's over.
