Mine is a member of MENSA (or was, when he paid dues). Our teenaged son, who is in special ed and is also highly intelligent, said to him when he was really little, “Daddy, you’re smart, but you have no common sense!”

Despite this, and despite that I finished my 4-year degree and landerd my dream job right before our kid started school, he also loves to rib me about my seeming lack of intelligence - my IQ being about 10 or 20 points behind his.

I suppose at sometime coming to terms with wether IQ is the most important skill set to have. Dont you ever have the urge to mouth off with a comment like "Yes your soooo intillectually gifted that you know exactly what will happen when I decide I am worthy of being loved."

Theres an EQ... wonder how that plays into all this.
