While eating breakfast my 3 year old grandson wanted to read the tool book. So he sat there looking through the Harbor Freight catalog. Soon he exclaimed "We need this" as he pointed out the emergency rope ladder for second story windows. So being the supportive grandpa that I am I asked him why do we need those. He said "So Santa Claus can get up and down the chimney without getting stuck." Damn, I never thought of that, good marketing scam.

I've never heard of an emergency rope ladder. Sounds useful to have.

I see they also offer a bunch of 'basement window ladders'. Exactly what you need if you ever want to throw yourself out of a basement window! (something I, in my misspent youth, sometimes threatened people with by way of a jape when I didn't get my way over some nonsensical issue)

Now that’s forward thinking. Not only is he smart but cute. Very heartwarming story.
