Just a be on the LOOK OUT - Dating Scams are rampant on the Internet now - I personally almost got played for giving money to a "True Love" seeking beauty on the Internet. "She" probably was a gang operating out of some Hack-Hell s---t-hole of a country. Well "she" was dumb enough to send me a totally fake passport. Privacy and Discretion is a MUST - meet the person first - avoid "Online Only" romance - put a face and a human being to the fancy talk being exchanged. NEVER send photos or mention too much specific personal detail until AFTER you have met them and verified a human face with a legal identity. Note "fake" US Passport - and the Internet is full of them. www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/01/23/men-targetted-romance-scammers-likely-hand-large-sums-money/blogger image hosting

As soon as someone asks me monetary questions first instead of what I like to do for fun that's a red flag. A man last week told me he sold gold, I thought he either works in a pawn shop or this is a scammer like the video @tamara shared with us. I was ready to fuck with him but he gave up to soon I even screenshotted the supply vs wealth chart.
Lots of dishonesty out there.

It is incredible what people choose to believe, in spite of the facts. Wait... am I talking about scams or sexless marriages? ;-)
Yeah, that passport is such a bad fake. Expired, too.
I read a write-up once about the Nigerian email scams, and how the atrociously poor grammar and spelling is actually intentional. People who are remotely savvy will self-select and not engage - thus, the folks who do fall for it are unobservant enough to be ripe targets. Being a nearly-obvious scam actually improves their efficiency by finding suckers who are the easiest to manipulate.
Man, so many potential parallels to manipulative relationships...
But, yeah, be careful out there! Paranoia is key to survival online.

I got a message today from a man with poor grammar which screams not a U.S. citizen wants a wife for citizenship and yes some people are that desperate.
Anyway I immediately ask them where they are originally from and if they are a citizen. Today's guy is a citizen of U.S. and Italy, is new to Florida and a widow of course because no woman would leave him right?
So many bad men and women out there.

This makes me think about my teenage adult son (and his younger siblings) he's meeting girls on line. I wonder what dating scams are out there for today's young adults?
Maybe they need to start teaching that in H.S.?

I actually know someone who is "engaged" to a man here on a student visa from, I think, China. He is paying her $3000 a month and he flies her up to where he is once a month, puts her up in a hotel and pays the expenses for the trip and they just get together to study one another's life details. Not sure what the final payout will be but she has been doing this for the last 6 months or so. She tried to recruit my daughter for another US citizen wannabe. Ummm, no.

This makes me think about my teenage adult son (and his younger siblings) he's meeting girls on line. I wonder what dating scams are out there for today's young adults? Maybe they need to start teaching that in H.S.? My guess is FOLLOW THE MONEY . . . normally the target would be mid-40s older guys who they think will have cash - ideally still married so they can throw in the black mail card, still you never know - the Internet can be a very bad neighborhood indeed. But usually criminals are not as smart as they think they are, that is why they turn to crime. A good talk with your son about online dating scams seems like a good idea. - Is the person real? Or is there camera conveniently broken? - Asking a lot of personal details? - Recommend a face-to-face meeting in a safe public place - use discretion - Check the persons Facebook page - just a few bikini shots and 3 friends - mostly older dumb ass guys also getting suckered, Etc.
