Interestingly enough back in the day, my missus and I used to get a few cheap laughs out of assorted tv shows.
This was coming from a very non PC point of view where we reckoned most of the blokes on tv were as gay as can be ("Not that there's anything wrong with that")
One bloke in particular in the show "The Bold and the Beautiful" comes to mind. We were watching it one afternoon and the script called for this bloke to passionately snog this chick. And he did so. My missus observed "Given that he's gay, that performance deserved an Oscar" I laughed that hard and long that my ribs were aching. Her timing was superb.
Back in the day, scenes of passion on tv rarely caused us any angst. They were really opportunities to make "witty" and politically incorrect remarks. We were both pretty good at this.
May she rest in peace.

Did you just toss off a sonnet like it's NBD? If so, where do you live, I want to go to there. FWIW, I noticed the perfect sonnet form, too. Props for the dose of literary accomplishment in the face of your SM. For other readers, in case you missed it, TTSP's OP was a formal, English-form sonnet: - exactly 14 lines - rhyming pattern: abab cdcd efef gg - ten syllables per line For a bit of less-literary levity, also see this forum's " Cracked Nursery Rhymes", or the predecessor thread on EP titled " Disparage your Marriage: Couplets for the Sexless Couple".

thanks, thistooshallpass ,yes I get that completely, and I have those angry to sad feelings too, like a pendulum of emotions. Thanks for sharing Data's scene, yes I'm good with sci-fi. The first film I went to see on my own with a nice young lady (we were both 14) was Close Encounters of the Third Kind. That can bring me to tears too, because I probably received more affection in the two hours I had with that young lady (we held hands) than I have in years. Never mind. With the help of all you guys and girls on here, I feel I am on the road to recovery. (or hell, as the case maybe, lol) I have memories like that too, lonely. Every spring, when the cherry blossoms are blooming, my mind goes back in time to that first kiss under a cherry blossom tree. It's those simple acts of affection that I miss the most.

The best way to feel like you've cracked a rib. A priceless memory. Thanks for sharing, Baza.

It's amazing what one can accomplish by channeling excess sexual energy. Thanks for the compliment, Dan. And for the links too!
