Community Standards - ILIASM Forum
This is a site intended to help adults cope with a real-life problem that is often devastating. This isn't a joke, nor is it intended as a dating website.
Therefore, no abusive language or behavior will be tolerated. As adults we believe it's up to you to deal with interpersonal conflicts. But if we see certain behavior problems, moderators may step in. Depending upon the level of inappropriateness, posts or reply may be edited or deleted. Continued egregious behavior may result in other sanctions, such users restricted to "read only status", or in extreme cases, banned.

Examples of appropriate content:
- Members describing the issues they have in a sexless marriage (SM) or serious relationship. This is a site where adults can talk about sexual problems in a non-pornographic manner.
- A diverse set of viewpoints.
- Contributions by people who are not in SMs, provided they are not trolling.
- Links to external websites or mention of third-party products and services if they follow the topic of the thread and may be of interest to the members of the Forum.
Examples of inappropriate content:
- Verbal attacks, abuse, and bullying. (You have a right to your viewpoint and to offer advice. You are not allowed to name-call, or browbeat others until they "give in" to your views.)
- Excessive attempts to scold, moralize, or persuade someone to a particular belief system. (Share beliefs and experiences that work for you; don’t hammer someone who doesn’t share those beliefs.)
- Release of another member's personal information such as real names, addresses, phone numbers, workplace name
- Trolling: Disingenuous posting just to stir the shit
- Blatant "come-ons"
- Threats of any kind
- Political discussions
- Dick pics
- Unsolicited advertising -- mention of products or websites unrelated to the topic of the thread or purpose of this Forum.
- Using the site solely as a way to hookup with unhappily married people or have arbitrary discussions about random sexual topics.
In short: No trolls, no pervs.

Examples of content that is acceptable only in its appropriate sub-forum:
- Salacious or crude posts; yes, these can be quite entertaining - but there's a time and a place for everything. Consider the "Lighter Side" board for this sort of content.
- Sexually explicit posts; likewise. Consider the "Speaking Sexually" board for this sort of content.
Other Community Standards
- You must be 18 or older to use this site.
- Usernames beginning with "Admin", "Mod", and "Staff" are reserved for authorized moderators.
Forum Moderation and Administration
- Volunteer moderators will be assisting the operation of this site.
- Conflicts -- if any -- will be moderated by the mods and the Admin ("the staff"). They will do their best to run the forum serving the widest possible interests of our diverse community.
- It would be wise to go along with advice given by any staff member. Members unwilling to heed gentle guidance may have posting rights curtailed (temporarily rescinded) while folks cool down.
- If you feel a moderator is treating you unfairly, please PM the Admin. He will earnestly listen to your side of the story. If things can be worked out amicably, great. If not, Admin's decision will stand.
- Members with blatant or repeated violations of the Guidelines risk sanctions such as: a permanent ban on posting; losing one's membership on the board; the transgressor's IP address being banned (substantially thwarting the ability to RE-signup).
